what can i say.. im cheap.. if you look close at my water pump i modified it. i built a plug out of aluminum with a 4 degree taper and then milled the front blank out and put the water neck forward.. pretty straight forward and i didnt have to spend that 175 for a new one.. although i seriously had to talk myself out of buying the whole nascar style system with the replaceable impeller.. i keep trying to buy race car parts for my driver..

well ive decided i am probably going to sell her.. i am taking care of some tasks on the car before hand though so ill keep updating!
as of lately.. the LSX being moved back an inch posed a problem with the heater core box so i simple clearenced it, flipped it, and rerouted the hoses. i was beating my head against the wall trying to figure out what to do and one of the "hillbillies" up here said just flip it upside down and run it out of the bottom.. some times the simplest solutions are staring us in the face:faint: . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/e59a04f2.jpg i put a small layer of rtv between the core and the hose to make sure there would be no leaks! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/2a4e4d86.jpg |
i also installed the Hooker long tubes and 6ls computer system.
(sorry about the size of the pics, firewall at work here is funky) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/e922c0dc.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/37fb9edd.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/c2c14957.jpg |

things that still need to be done:
-rearend -Interior -Trans controller -fuel system -final block/paint -weather strip |
finally got the steering sorted. i was having issues with rag joint/ set back ls1/ half height subframe bushings/ iroc box.
basically i found some d shaft and a steering u-joint. i used four deep plug welds to secure the d-shaft to the stock steering shaft and set screws to hold the flat spots. this way i still have the collapse feature. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/bd912ae7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/acf8543d.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/7c7b7d09.jpg |

well the car turned out great. we are going to let it cure out in the heat for a few days then knock it down with some 600 wet and reclear it. they always seem to turn out extra slick that way...
the color is gm9260 with a tiny bit of blue pearl (to kill the orange) all of the trim and chrome should be back from the powder coater anytime now.. i got everything done flat black.. :unibrow: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/e761682a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/7f16c304.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...b/263d7cef.jpg |
