Gauges
I have to get my hands on a set of these for my 68 camaro. I have been looking for a set like this for a long time. I need the 0-90 ohms sending unit, 10k square wave speedo, just turn signals and high beams. Other vendors have different sending units and conversion kits to get the speedo to work correctly. These are exactly what I want right out of the box.

yes we are planning on a 0-90 ohm sender for GM vehicles. As for the 10K sq wave sender, not sure why anyone would need an adapter to make an electronic speedo work. That is a standard hall effect pulse and should work on any electronic speedometer. As for 10K I assume you mean 10K per mile. Ours will take up to 150,000 pulses per mile, which is close to what the VSS puts out from the driveshaft on most late model GM stuff. Mark |
Ok,
Here are some updates. We will do custom graphics, pointers, etc on these but we will launch with 3 styles. One style will match our Woodward Series (a 30s style deco set) and the two shown below. We will also be manufacturing these as private label for one other company with different graphics more for the street rod crowd. The first style is based off of some input from earlier in the thread. We were running some tests with some metal ink and found that we can achieve an aluminum look with the printing process. That led us back to our original concept from about a year ago, more of a 67-68 look, but modernized a bit. More of an OEM look. We wanted the set to look right in an original car, or something updated. I think the set, even in its rough form can pass pretty well for modern or period. Enough words, here are the pics: http://inlinethumb59.webshots.com/46...600x600Q85.jpg Below is the rough of the lit appearance. Warning lamps are place holders, but I think we have the main needs covered. Not sure if we should go red/white all red, red/blue on the lighting, we wil have to do some mock-ups. They will be backlit, through the dial lighting. http://inlinethumb11.webshots.com/46...600x600Q85.jpg The 2nd style, I think will be available in white or black face. Normal perimiter lighting and the warning lamps may be optional, it all depends on complexity. More of a "value" set that has good looks and function, more for the race look crowd. http://inlinethumb35.webshots.com/45...600x600Q85.jpg When will these be available? We should have functional prototypes in about a month. From there we have about a 6 week test cycle that we have to go through and our European CE certification to do. We have to to temperature, vibration, humidity and shock testing as well as functional tests. I hope to have them available by mid May. We will be showing some mock-ups at the Hot Rod and restoration show next month, hopefully get some of our dealers on board. We are also working on a 6 gauge set with a similar theme, for some who have different vahicles but do not want this layout. Mark |
I really like the new designs. Personally, I'd still want seperate matching gauges for all the vitals. Larger and easier to read. Cramming all those readings into a tiny package isn't ideal but I realized there is a market for it. I'd build them both ways.

Looks great, I'll keep watching and bumping this thread. LOL This will be on my list for purchasing this spring.

LOVE YOUR GAUGES ..Designs look great..I dont have a camaro but the styles on those all in 2 gauge sets are SHARP . Tom |
Mark,
Nice guages and design! As far as the color, do you have the ability to include green as an option? I'm thinking of the green that matches the factory guages of my 67 Camaro. |
