The guys who spend the money like Doug does has alot more to burn than most. I think 230 is fair price and thank god for guys like Doug who build cars like these, it raises the bar and price of alot of cars we drive and build! |

You hit the nail on the head Greg with your assessment of build cost vs reality... It was great to "hang" with you yesterday:thumbsup: |
I worked on both cars for Doug, the 35 coupe is just pure badass,Lakeside rods built the car we did the inside,We also did the Mustang,Sometimes people have to remember that this is what happens with these cars,In order to build new ones, you have to sell the ones in the way for the next one.I thought he did well on the money for todays market.Somebody got some nice rides

It's still one of the, if not the highest selling custom cars to be sold at BJ. |
If i remember right, Reactor was at Russo Steele 2 years ago and had a high bid of 300K. I didn"t meet reserve of 350k. Alot has changed in the last couple of years and I think he got some good coin for a car that has already been exposed everywhere. Personally I think Copperback was the better purchase for the money, but I'm partial to the color!

The only people making money on hot rods this weekend are the pimps at barrett-jackson. oh ya speed is too. three cars then they go to a com.
