RECOVERY ROOM 03-19-2010 10:43 PM

There is a quick method to doing it,It also helps to have done more than I care to think of.

I voted the same way. I don't have the skills for it and not sure I want a good enough eye to do it. If I did every minor flaw would annoy the crap out of me and I drive my cars to much to worry about that.

I have used some good body shops but even the best run into delays. I may have delays but thats me not getting around to it... and I can make excuses for that ;)

I'm in the middle of hanging the door/quarter windows on my '68 Camaro. Two days for the driver'side to get it tight, well sealed and hopefully free of wind noise.

It's given me an appreciation that the harder it is (and, as compared to body work, this is nothing), the more rewarding it is. For all the body work guys, when you stand back and see that perfectly flat panel, the work to get it there is its own reward.

So, I guess the hardest (least favorite) part is disciplining yourself not to expect instant gratification, but instead wait the months and years it takes to do it right.

After 10 years of driving and enjoying the finished car..I wanted to ''re-do'' some things and basically having it out with my wife about "whats wrong with the way it is right now..why do you want to change it?" Its taken me 3 years to save and sell old stuff to buy my new LS3 for it..I think waiting is the worst part for me.

Funny..when my wife wants a new hand bag for $2200.00 or a $1200.00 pair of ''there just adorable'' shoes..I never tell her ''whats wrong with the ones you got on..why would you need a new pair" lol :P ..Maybe Iam a poor husband,or maybe you guys know what Iam talking about.

If you do have to ask.....ask for forgiveness AFTER the purchase. Not permission before. :D

I can't stand wiring. My hands are to big and the wires and places they go are to small.

I almost hate waiting as much. I got the Patience iof a 3 year old. I want it NOW damnit! LOL!
