Thanx for the :thumbsup:. It actually rides quite well, but I can't comment a lot on the handling as I've never done anything to push it other than a little fun on off-ramps or back roads. :)

The acceleration is great! Shifting the 6-speed is a little awkward as the shifter location is a bit low, but those LT5 engines are smooth and powerful. This one has a chambered exhaust on it too, so it's loses some of that 'sleeper' effect when it's going down the road. ;)

That's obviously a complicated and rarely done swap.

How's the reliability been for your Dad?

There have been some small annoyances with the LT5 since he got it running... There is an electrical control box under the plenum that died and had to be replaced, as well as an AC compressor that is under there as well. But otherwise, there have been no mechanical problems with the engine itself. And it is a fun car to drive. :)
