Okay -- I'm not going to say this to be mean.... please don't take it that way.

99% of the people that are buying million dollar toys -- the cost of operation isn't really anything they think about or care about. It's all relative.

They just ain't the same as the rest of us.

Oh I fully agree, But 12,000 miles just seemed like an awful lot. I think it is totally cool to see on driven that much, I know I would and there would dog hair and fast food trash on the floor if it was mine. But How many of those cars really get driven like that? The other Mercedes had what 900 miles?

Who ever invented the DVR deserves a cold one on me  It only takes about an hour and a half to fast forward through all the crap. Was pissed I did'nt get to see more of your Chevelle. Definitely perfer to watch Meccum.

For whatever reason I usually don't get to spend much time watching the auctions. I had it on for a bit on Saturday, and I was astonished at how utterly clueless the announcers were. It was like the B squad for the local college football crew trying to cover Rugby. Unbelievable. For as big of a deal as they make it, they should have experts covering the show, period. Maybe they want to dumb it down for the pedestrians, but seriously, that's not who the show draws. IMHO.

I haven't watch the auction yet, but did anyone catch this? Was it televised?

Yep

It was the feature car of the auction and the topic of discussion for the last 2 pages.

Pretty anti-climactic on TV

Gotcha, I'll have to watch it. I couldn't find a video of the buyer backing out part.

I've been fairly disillusioned about the whole BJ experience as of late.

I just get a really shady feeling about the whole operation. The co-owner guy, can't remember his name, the one who always wears sunglasses indoors, give me a bad feeling every time I see him. The auctions themselves I think have ruined a pretty good hobby.

The horror stories of fast gavel selling, the "promised air time" or "guaranteed 2-3 min. on the block time" fiasco, the free booze to get people "loosened up" to buy... everything about it just feels off.

I can't bring myself to watch the show anymore.

Even worse than the idiots calling the show is the idiots that think they will make money selling there cars there.,

People have countlessly lost there asssses there on there cars and people seem to just follow the hype and want to be apart of the experience more power to you i didnt build my car to give it away and thats what seems to be happening at these shows sad is what it is.

And your right they do call them alll wrong and i if i have to here resto rod once more or coupe pe' aswell im going to bitchhhh slap someone.

I almost spit red wine out my nose when Craig Jackson and Steve Davis starting talking about how ethical they were how "above board" they conducted their business...I was beside myself.
