A couple of updates since you asked so nicely...:thumbsup:

Motor/trans and chassis are together and under the car so much of the internal sheetmetal work is underway.

We got the hood wrapped up on the Fairlane last week - it stayed fairly subtle while giving us the necessary clearance for that tiny little motor...:_paranoid

Novice question... how much room do you need above the velocity stacks to ensure you have enough air flow?

Ty - The guys at Jon Kaase (engine builder) recommended 2" of space above the stacks to allow enough room for air to enter.
