05 gsxr1000, power commander and an akrapovic slip on. never dynoed the bike before the exhaust and pc, supposedly its 175ish stock. 370lbs is just a guess, prolly a lil light.

1500hp? Are you serious?

The most dialed production car in US auto history has 505hp and would easilly be more car than most could handle anywhere near it's limit.

Putting three times the power in a chassis that is 1/2 as capable seems rather absurd to me.

You are talking 3x the power of an Audi R8.

Is your suspension as good? Do you have the aero package to keep the thing on the ground? Do you have the skill that Tom Kristensen does?

Like Steve-o said, if you can't put it to the ground, if you can't keep from blowing parts out the back (ala the old AAMCO commercial) and if you can't come close to being able to control 1/3 of that whats the point other than to say, "It's got 1500hp."

Honestly I can't imagine a street tire and any suspension that you'd run on the street packaged in a 35-40 year old car is capable of handling more than about 500-600 (Not taking into account the nut behind the wheel.) unless you are just going to putt around town under 4000rpm.

I think that's just it. After a certian point, it's just for braggin rights. Let's face it, cars with 1000+hp run 7's, or there about.

R.P.

I don't know, my comments were theoretical, I don't actually give false information, but if you someone wanted a lower rate, one could.

My carrier ask for two pictures of the car, and an appriasal. If something happens, it's covered. They asked what size engine was in it, and that's about it.

If it's got a manual gearbox behind it...I'd be satisfied with 300.

I'm 35 now. Those halycon days of traffic light competitions and parking lot burnouts are long gone.

This is all my insurance company asks for as well! They don't even need to see it in person!

I wonder if your company would understand the difference in price between a 396 smallblock built by Tom Nelson and an OE 396?

If you have agreed value then it doesn't matter. You just tell them what it is and what you think it's worth and they bill you accordingly.

I dont know what alot of HP feels like yet, so I guess around 300 is what I know. Althought I do like that with turbos now you can control the boost and thus control HP levels. You can then have the bragging rights of a huge HP car, but have something a bit more controllable for the street.
I would like to get up to 500 I think, probably years away though. But I am happy for now.
