Duel, with Dennis Weaver Dart vs Gas Tanker (reminds me of all the crappy gutless cars I used to have as a kid) Early movie by Spielberg
Did anyone mention "The Car" B grade horror flick. Great movie to cuddle up with your scared wife/gf, and not enough plot that you'll miss anything if you are paying attention to her instead of the movie :unibrow: |
Duel, lol classic.
The scene in "Gumball Rally" with the Ferrari and the Cobra in the flood channels in la, epic. For us two wheel guys, "On Any Sunday" Ronin. Also the new James Bond, sick bike scene in the beginning. Yep, smokey and the bandit. "Daddy, the tops missing" ...lol Italian Job Can't forget the Blues Brothers... |
Deuce of Spades is an AWESOME flick for an old school hot rod movie.

Anyone remember another B or TV only thriller/horror movie that had a Dodge Coronate or Super Bee that was blacked out and had tinted windows? From what I can remember of the premise, the person driving the car was trying to run people off the road etc and that's about it, lol. No identity on who the driver was or is.

As a side note, I see Tom Cruise's new movie involved destroying a bunch of '70 chevelles. I'm sure they weren't LS6s or pedigree cars but come on guys. Thanks hollywood! I'm boycotting it just for that. Well that, and its Tom cruise.

Hasn't been mentioned: Eric Bana's - Love the Beast.

Vanishing Point if you're a Mopar guy, Bullitt if you're a Ford guy, and I guess Smokey and the Bandit if you ride with the General. But on the top, the original Gone in 60 seconds. That crazy 40 min no-stunt-car-driver car chase scene is just epic. It's a stock '73 Mach 1 taking everything that's throw at it, and still keeps running. The amount of punishment that car absorbs is just unbelievable. In a poetic kinda way it can be seen as the last stand of the Musclecar. One thing is for sure, they don't make 'em as they used to.

Got Porsche ?
for the 356 kids...
King of the Mountain with Dennis Hopper. Doc Hollywood with Michael J Fox. Look for the lake scene with Julie Warner dripping wet... couldn't beleive that was in the movie. Top Gun ! |

new Gone in 60 because that car was so sexy and so was Angelina Ferris Bueller's Day off for Ferrari ecstasy even though it was only a really good kit. Dust to Glory was bad ass because that one dude rides it solo - while hallucinating and repeating himself, repeating himself I have never seen all of Bullitt but that car chase is amazing |
