Just found this build and it is inspiring!
Bought my 67 in 76. Did a frame off in 79 I started my second (more indepth) frame off rebuild in 1984, same year I got married, had my first child, 3 houses 4 kids later I still have it as a roller, in the shop, married budget was always bad, divorced is worse, but It will get done along with the other projects. Keep posting I love the build, keep us revved up ! You were right, Kids first, Camaro 2nd, good dad ! |
Great looking project! Keep up the good work.

thanks guys for the "boost" it helps especially when you've looked at this as long as i have...noticed missed uploading a pic with the console in 1 pc
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...psc4d8adf3.jpg I'm going "dip" it here relatively soon along with center piece of the dash... |
Console insert looks good. I am going to try and mock mine up next week and drop it off to get it recovered.

still plugging away
All right I’m still plugging away, spent a ton of time working engine stuff over the summer….actually the first year in 10yrs i didn't go to SEMA because i wanted to make some progress, sounds like i missed a good show.
Here are a couple pics showing the fruits of my labor (mostly my cash)… Front cover on with Oil Pump on the side http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps368be1ed.jpg Side view http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps04bfde66.jpg Waiting on push rods and Holley HP kit….then we’ll make some hydrocarbons http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps790c7b70.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps7a7ce07a.jpg Dyno run planned for Tues but likely I’m thinking Wednesday regardless I’ll have it back in my garage for final fit tests for the Thanksgiving weekend. |
Your doing a beautiful job on this, and you have some great ideas. The console looks like it's a factory piece. Nice build.

For some reason I never knew you had a build thread - looking great and the engine is going to be cool. SUBSCRIBED !

Should give eveyone a little back story, Scott and i work together so we're sharing lessons learned as we go. Although i've got a 10yr head start on my project he's making a ton more progress and catching up quickly. Actually in post #15 those are Scott's wheels and tires, it was great of him to let me fit them to get a handle on what i can fit for my car. how many people do you know would let you trial fit your brand new wheels and tires...they aren't cheap! |
Tony where did you get the kit from ? The things they do with that stuff is amazing.
