If I was the father of that little boy and his sister and wife I would be looking for a way to get in the hospital and take his legs with a dull AXE

Greg, taken without Miranda rights given? Couldn't this have implications in his trial?

Just out of curiosity, have you ever been involved in something like this?

Reasonably close daily interaction with LEO's for 15+ years and a few SWAT call-outs and exercises, yes. LEO employment no.

Miranda rights do not have to be read the moment a suspect is taken into custody. They only need to be read when the suspect is subject to a custodial interrogation. Just because they have not read this monster his rights yet doesn't mean they won't. But it sounds like they are going to use the Public Safety Exception in which Miranda does not apply. It can be a pretty slippery slope but trust me, no one knows how to use this better than the feds.

I actually was in the search and was at the Marathon earlier and saw the craziness. From the bombing to capture took less than a week. Excellent by any measure sir.

Excellent police work for sure. But....really dude? We're all Americans here.

We want the same thing.

This is an internet forum, ya know? We discuss stuff like this. Learn from each other. At times share a little grief.

You and Greg are experts for sure, but Sieg gets a pass on this one.

And thank you for your service.

I agree Ron, that was a little harsh but given the emotions of those directly involved in this tragedy, I can understand where hectore3 is coming from. I have been involved in some pretty high profile cases and some very intense door to door searches and what those police departments and those federal agencies did from April 15th through April 19th was absolutely amazing. People who are not directly involved in Law Enforcement may never fully understand what it took to bring this case to where it is now. My hat goes off to those first responders who put their lives in harms way to help others and my heart goes out to the victims who's lives will forever be altered.

Greg you know me, somewhat. This was an American tragedy. Those fockers got what they deserved (Wayne might diagree just a teeny bit :D )

We're saying the same thing. You guys that put your lives on the line for us, man no words can explain all our gratitude.
