Let's get this straight: He did nothing to keep us (moderators) happy. He never got a seconds worth of protection from any of us. We called Frank out first and fastest, then kicked him to the curb.

I don't understand?

Apparently a good product?, in demand, folks paying thousands up front, waiting months past deadlines, new products being anxiously waited on, on all the forums, at the big shows.... and they're just mis-managing it into the gutter? WTF?

Jeff-

Jeff I had the exact same thing with APT! And your correct it all comes down to mismanagement .

Was looking at their kits today but if they are that slow and unreasonable with you guys, I can't even imagine how long it would take a Norwegian to actually recieve a shipment. Thanks!

I will say, I have had a negative experience with them when ordering from their website.

However, I ordered my 5 spd. kit on eBay from them and I received it quite quickly and without any delay. My thought on that is they are under the power of the buyer on ebay and especially when using papal as well. Because you can hold their funds if things are not working out.

I orignally wanted the RS600, but read numerous threads that it had supplier issues with the gear sets for it. I decided to go with the RS500 since I knew that one was going into production (so I thought). I placed the order in Jan 2012, they never charged my account like I have read in the past (or present in this thread). It was around June of that year and I happen to check my account one day and I saw that $2300 was gone! I saw that they charged the whole amount in one shot. I called them up and they said that is how they are doing it and that is when they started building my trans. Ok.......It took 2 months (now August) to get it. It sat in my garage until March of 2013 when I finally got around to installing it. I placed the order for the driveshaft and within 2 weeks I had it on the road. So I can say neither good or bad from my experience with them, but I did have to make plenty of phone calls to them. I also ran into the sales rep twice at Carlisle spring and fall show and complained also during all this.

I'm just curious Don, did you call them and ask them what the was going on? I know its easy to jump to conclusions and think the worst but just bailing without an explanation does two things.
one, Doesn't give them an opportunity to explain the situation if it was a justifiable issue do to a custom part.

two, lets them off the hook without repercussions if something was handled wrong or fraudulent.

Again, im just curious. I am not defending anyone here.

Howdy Vince. I sent two emails to the person who sent the email requesting payment in full and another email to Shafi. All went unanswered. I also called her and their system terminated the call telling me to call back later after it rang for a while. Apparently she does not have voicemail or it was full.

When I read on the Corvette forum that Keisler employees are advising unhappy customers to contact Shafi and that they are having financial difficulties all the pieces point to problems. I think that when employees are to this point of telling customers they are having financial problems it might be time to worry.

Let's also keep in mind here this is a 4L60E and not one of their latest and greatest transmissions. It should not take 3 months to deliver nor payment in full two months in advance. Furthermore the price includes the bellhousing, flexplate, driveshaft, controller, trans crossmember, cooler lines, shifter, etc so getting the transmission in the production queue at the supplier should not require full payment. At the very least they should not be asking for their profit two months is advance of shipment...

I have spoken with Phoenix who are highly recommended by Steve at Twist Machine and they can help me with this aside from the crossmember and shifter which I think are within my abilities. They are also local to me which is a bonus.

Thanks to everyone for the responses and PM's. I sincerely appreciate it.

Don

Yep... Phoenix is close to us down in Weatherford. I've used their products in the past and haven't had any issues. My machinist also has a local transmission shop he uses for his high performance builds and is very happy with them.
