OK Marty I can take a hint (just takes me 5 months to get it) :)
I have got a lot done in the meantime, just don't get around to posting pics.

Anyway hated the original front fender mounts on the firewall and I wanted to tuck the Peterson oil tank in the cowl area, so after gettting the dse fill plate welded on I decided to cut the old mount off and make a piece to flush it all up and square the corner off. filled in the original fuse block hole also

Also mounted the RestomodAir Ac/Heater bulkhead. Nice piece!!

Well it's about darn time.

Man now you post up the firewall update that I regret not doing. Car looks really nice and how's the new Z doing?

Also pretty much have the cage done.

We built these doublers to weld the down bars under the dash to the rocker panels.

I think it was Mac and Otto's?? thread where they had removed the cowl top for access to mount the bars from under the dash to the firewall. Mine needed a little rust repair anyway so off it went. Cleaned everything real good and primed. Last pic shows the rear half to the firewall bulkheads we built (well my son Taylor did :D )

Sorry Marty!! I'm going to try and get up to date and keep up. :willy: I have a bunch more stuff to post

Got the Z to the track once last year is all but Holy Crap!! was that a good time!! With those brakes and tires it is crazy how hard you can run into the corners. I was riding a C6 Z06's ass for one session until he finally let me by.:D

syborg tt 02-23-2016 02:11 PM

Well the last post was pretty good. What else ya got and btw I am doing my best to thin my life down (my waist included) and trying not to buy another car for me. The Z28 or a new GT350 is really topping my want list right now.

I was gonna edit that last post to say the Z06 guy must be a crappy driver for my "no-talent lame ass" driving to get past him, but the Z28 is incredible.

My wife drives a 2010 SS that we got when they first came out, but I'm threatening to get rid of it and get a 2017 ZL1. I was worried she would think the Z was too harsh to drive around town, but she loves driving it!! Damn it!

BTW I'm working on the waist line too! Down 30 lbs. since I saw you at SEMA.

nice work Steve. Cage looks real good. You bend that up or is it a kit?

Thanks Vince Never done it before but I bought a JMR Air/Hydraulic Tubing Bender and a hole saw tube notcher from Trick tools and bent it up. Didn't even waste hardly any material, it's a miracle!!
