Actually, I showed it Scott around 4 months ago. I think it would work, but it wil take some time to develop. The 69 headlight door would be perfect.

I would paint everything behind it black, and tint the headlights just a bit to make them less noticeable. I would also paint all of the vertical bars that hold the grille together black also. Doing all this would put the focus on the grille itself, and not all the stuff behind it. It would look pretty clean then.

I uderstand the black behind the grill thing to hide everything behind, but painting behind the grill and radiator support is NOT an option on this car. Painting the grill bars black might be a option. Remember this IS a show off car, and black back there just will not work on this car.

Are you changing the wheels? I think the "flame" wheels are unnecessary given the paint job and body mods. Plus you can match the wheel center color to the grille color.

Whats up Steve, when we first built the car, I wanted to leave it with no grill, but in the end we decided to make a grill. So now I am thinking of leaving it out, thats why I asked what people thought. We are changing the wheels, steering wheel, interior (again) stereo (killer) rear wing, and a few other small changes.

I would leave all of that work exposed and place the grill at the very back of the opening....try it stainless, painted body color, whatever works, but please leave it exposed!

It's not that it kills the car I just thin it would have looked better with something different. As said earlier, it kind of dates the car. The metal work behind the grill is beautiful. Is there a way to incooperate it to be shown & build something else? I know..ALOT of work. Some others have thrown out some good ideas. I also agree with Steve, the flamed wheels and steering wheel are a little much in my opinion. As you well know though everybody will be a critic & pick things apart. Etheir way, killer car. You guys do some nice work!!

Thanks, and I agree the wheels and steering wheel are too much. Alot of the parts were bought for this car before it came to my shop, including the wheels, and steering wheel. We changed so much after it came, that we had to stop somewhere. Now its time for a change, so the first thing to go is the wheels, and steering wheel, I never liked them anyway. |
