That's a shame, I saw it last night (not the actual auctioning of the Cuda, just what it went for) and was really disappointed. It seems that whatever BJ plays up and features on their cover as a potential "million dollar car" tends to not pull nearly as much as they thought, case in point: the Motion car last year. Though the auction was marred by the sound cutting out, I still don't think it would have hit a million. Bob's car is an amazing piece of work, has 2 high-profile SEMA appearances under it's belt, magazine features, and even a die-cast replica, so it's sad to see it go for such a "low" price.
As far as Jackson having bought the SuperCoupe, I can confirm that it's untrue. I believe the buyer's name was Ron Pratt (just not sure on the first name at the moment.) That auction is really hit-or-miss it seems, I just hope Bob's not too upset over it all, but I wouldn't blame him if he was... :( |

OK, 'cause everyone is saying that it sold for less than "expected". So i figured it must be money related somehow... Otherwise, he could (might as well, here, reading this) not have sold it no? (reserve...?) Anyway, how could a "Good" selling price been achived if you (not personnally) don't know the build price? As far as i'm concerden it could have cost under 500k to build. Hell you get some B-A cars build for that money! Million...Skeptical. But then i don't particularly care either. Nice car. Period. (Just glad i'm not the one losing out) Lead. Oh and Steve, I just got my wheels. Thanks again for the info on the Gunmetal, the are freakin' awesome! No regrets at ALL!!! |

I know about what it cost to build, but I don't know the exact amount. I think it's generally accepted that the Cuda cost near 1 million to build. |
...
Then i'm also glad i'm not the one who paid to get it built!
 :D Lead. |
BJ is awesome, enjoyed watching this year. People know going in the only guarantee is BJ will get 20% no matter what. You roll the dice.
To be fair their were some Riddler type cars that went for peanuts compared to $ in them also. |
lead, do the math, 16,000 hr to build at 75 per, plus car, plus parts
