Whats the point if you still have to push the clutch in ?? The "memory feature" sounds kinda cool but.....

So you depress the clutch and then push a button to shift rather than move a lever ?? big deal.....

Paddle shifter for an automatic is one thing, but this sounds like alotta cash for a pointless piece of technology.

I agree. It seems like paddle shifters would be a sweet setup with an auto tranny, but not a manual that still has a manual clutch. Not only does it seem pointless but it costs more than I spent on my entire t-56 setup. It might be cool of you could still shift manually if you wanted to, but you can't. It replaces the shifter. I would not want it even if it only cost $800.

I agree too,

To have a paddle or button shifter it has to interact with the PCM and clutch to be usefull. Otherwise it is just a gadget. The benefit to use it came from F1 and their reason was to save on time when powering the tires, pressing the clutch looses driving power. Also a reason why the Lenco transmission was used in dragracing. When it was allowed in Pro Stocks it cut 0.4 seconds of the ET.

I have been driving a Mercedes SLK 55 AMG with paddleshifter and it was a joy :D That car don't have a clutch, I guess it is some kind of automatic but it shifts like a manual when driven hard.

Just my opinion.
