I have been crazy busy lately, but I still harass Frank as much as possible. I talked to him today and the car is 100% on the semi Friday. All they had left was the headlight buckets and window trim. I have brakes, wiring, and a Ricks tank on the way. I will be ordering all my misc crap from classic industries this month as well. I have pictures of it pretty complete, but I want to post it in full roller status.:D Next time may be it being lowered off the truck. Doom...I have only laid hands on the car once in stock form. I have never even seen the wheels in person. It's still a cartoon to me. When it show up, it will be a real reality check. I can't wait to make this thing a nasty mother.

After many months of coming in and out of the garage and being a huge procrastinator,(I hate paint work) I decided the oil pan had to match the block and car. I liked it red at first, but it just doesn't match my theme. Nothing like sniffing paint first thing in the morning.
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/IMG_0649.jpg The car is on the semi heading this way finally! Set at the transport company for almost a week. Frank hasn't emailed me the final photos due to there size.So I'll just tease everybody until the car gets here.:D It's not clean or final buffed at this point. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/DSC_0395.jpg |
OH MAN!!!!!!!!!!!:wow:
|
That looks cool. Love the rear meats.
|
That thing is Badass for sure. Love it! :hail:
|
damn!!! thats alot of tire!!!
whos gonna do the final buff? you got marquez lights for it? |
Final buff was done by prodigy before she left. I called Classic Chevy 5 speed today and he said you should be alright with the 550hp clutch since I'll never hook it up. He assumed I had 275mm. After he found out I had 345's he recommended the 700hp clutch.:D I am sure I'll never hook these up either. I like the stock tail lights. That little stuff can all be changed later if my taste changes. Those are the tail lights out of the car. They were in pretty nice shape since they had been replaced. I had to reuse something! Should have AAW wiring, Wilwood kit, and Ricks Tank within the next couple weeks. Frank:clap: I ordered everything I could think of from Classic Industries while they are having the 20% off sale and managed to spend enough to get free shipping and not tax! A stock resto would have been cheap!!!!

That looks awesome! Congrats.

Cars looking great, love the black. What is the backspacing on your 19x12's and the width of your rear end flange face to flange face.
Thanks Lenie |
Thanks guys....ZE Boost brushed centers and the wheels had to be narrowed from 13 to 12". It was originally around 6.25 but probably closer to 5.25 now. Lenie you would have to call Frank at Prodigy on the rear and backspacing currently. They are pretty damn tight in there. I guarantee Frank will tell you to order your wheels and measure regardless since you can't be off by much. Specs on wheels and tires is 19x12 345/30/19 Michelin Pilot Sports 18x8.5 front 255/40/18 Pilot Sport(More than likely will be changed to 18x10 with a 275/35/18) I have bigger fish to fry now.

The car looks awesome!

I have been burning the midnight oil. I have made some pretty good progress. I'll have an update this week. I recieved the wrong front brake kit and still waiting on a boat load of parts to show up. I have my second skin sound deadener showing up today or tomorrow.

DAYAM!! Just saw the pics of the car on the ground, LOVE the wheel tire combo and stance. Man I love that steamroller look in the rear. Looks awesome :hail:

Updates
Thanks Ryan......I have been working 7 days a week at least 8 hours a day so I haven't done to bad for only having the car 2 weeks.
First thing I did was mount the battery in the trunk. It is made for a red top Optima. Mother F....er didn't fit of course. I had to flip over the top bracket and egg out the hole and switch hardware. Turned out nice though. My brakes showed up, unfortunately my subframe change screwed me on the front brakes and they sent brakes for a stock sub. Wilwood dropped the ball there. I do have the rear brakes all ready to go minus the brake lines from the hose to the calipers. Just waiting on the rear end bracket. I did have to enlarge the stud holes in the rotors quite a bit. There is a shoulder about an 1/8 inch off the flange. The center hole needed enlarged very little. They fit perfect now and I have the parking brake adjusted and the rotor to caliper clearance is within spec. They look gooooood withthe wheels on but I was to lazy to lift those heavy sucker on there for the photo. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/IMG_0710.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/IMG_0708.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/IMG_0685.jpg |
Next I ordered 40 sqft of second skin sound deadener. It wasn't to bad once I got the hang of it. Undecided on the firewall. Not real excited about using an insulator that could be very messy incase it decides it wan't to come loose. This should help substantially with road noise and exhaust resonance.
