I'm thinking the plane ride to SEMA is a good time to sleep |
progress
Hey, ben and comp spec. The car is progressing nicely. We have some doors being molded today and tomorrow. Making them in pieces is going to benefit the upholsterer, but it added to our schedule.
We are working long hours as well. The console will get the mold started tomorrow. It will be a 3 piece mold and the carbon and carbon kevlar parts are getting infused today and tomorrow and the next day. |
Good to here from you , NEMESIS is getting some paint tomorrow.
A coulpe days in the booth and then final assembly |
|
Nemesis has a sexy bottom!
I like. I think you're gonna like the carbon fiber pieces we laid up today. The rde carbon kevlar came in today also |
are those holes in the hood? what goes behind them
|
Carbon fiber louver inserts.
|
looks white to me.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Even you Marty! |
Can't wait to see the SEMA pictures! A lot of respect for your skill and work ethic. The bodymod's could be a factory version, with what I mean that the look as if they always have been on the car. Real nice.
Goodluck with the final days! |

Pete, The hood really took some life on with the pain in place. Thanks for posting that.
The headlamp bucket molds are complete now and will have parts molded tomorrow. The tail lamp buckets are complete, awaiting led's The buckets red lens and reflex are all finished and the led's will be here Saturday for shipping to you. The side windows are in place awaiting some door hardware tomorrow from Mike. Mirrors are being molded in C/F tomorrow and the shark fin models are near complete. The roll bar needs trimming and the louvers are molded and awaiting being trimmed. busy busy. |
We're getting the car back tomorrow. Then its final assembly. We need as much as we can get. Car leaves on Thursday for SEMA
|
We are going to get that car and EmptyNest together for some pictures. Pearl white is going to be strong this year
|
Oh ya they will look sick together white and blue ---white and red
|
I think white is THE color this year. Between Devious, Empty Nest and Nemesis there's a lot of good reasons to dump the notion that only fleet vehicle are painted in white.
Sounds like a great idea Frank! And again, I just want to thank Doug's team at 3G services and Pete's team at Competition Specialties for making this project possible. Talk about stepping up to the plate and hitting a grand slam. Without these guys, Nemesis would still be a piece of paper. :hail: Speaking of grand slam....got my rally cap on to watch the Sox make the second biggest comeback in ALCS history. |

Thanks Ben, I love these type of projects.. You have to be willing to step it up for these projects do what it takes to get it gone if not you shouldn't take it on. I told Mike we'll step up and make it happen so thats what you do. It's killing me that it's still at the interior shop and I don't think we'll see it till Saturday |
Pete, you are right on that note.
We wondered when Mike was going to stop adding items to the project. I think Ben pulled back on his reins a bit. it has been a real hair pulling project with such a short time frame for all the work that went into it. We have enjoyed ourselves and look forward to meeting you and Ben out there at the show. We have one more big shipment of stuff going out tomorrow and we are trying to get a box or two ready for the end of day today. Good luck to you guys. The door parts just arrived for finishing up the windows. The shark fin is going to look killer. I can't wait to see it all incorporated into one beautiful baby. Thanks to Mike, Ben and You, Pete for all your efforts and I'll see you all there. |
|
That is so tight! I really wonder how you get the line between the paint and carbonfibre so clean. You probably have some trick for it, I've tried it myself on a little scale, but couldn't get it this nice.
|
I'll tell you the secret, hopefully Pete won't get mad if I spill the beans, He is the man, that's how.
|
I don't know the good man, but I cant do anything else but agree
|
|
