Awesome looking build Nick!
|
Thanks Tony! I sent you an email back, but it kept telling me Mailer-Daemon, so I tried again.
Updates soon guys, waiting for the wheels to come in. Should be next week. |
Wow! :wow: This project is insane! Your fabing skills are amazing! A plessure to follow your progress!
|
Good job on the fab work send more pic I want to see more:thumbsup:  .

Front wheels have like 1/2" lip, but for my low ride height and altered suspension the camber isn't going to help me like normal to clear my fenders. I kind of wish I narrowed the track width but all is well

man bud , I love this build.
Sweet , keep up the great work !!!!!!! |
Sweet build, where in MA are you?
|
thanks guys!
Im in Stoughton, 20mins South of Boston, but I'm your neighbor during the week, right in Fitchburg going to school at FSC. |
Love that rear shot GM Racer!!! :wow:
|
Damn that looks tough:thumbsup:
|
Wow! those rims are inzane! "15 wide!!!
|
thanks for the great updates. I've got a set of the same rear tires, but for 18" rims- I wanted a bit more sidewall and wanted to stick with 18's for the front too. My project is a shortbed dakota with an EFI'd 440. It currently runs and drives, but I want to hack the frame at some point. Add C-4 suspension up front and do the rear similar to what you've done.
|
Nice dude, post up some pics in the Truck section, I'd love to check it out.
Half way through this build I almost stopped and went c5 drive train but figured I was on a good track might as well keep going. |
You into Auto-xing at all? There is a BMW one that is open to all cars on April 26th at Devens Airport.

I guess I could give it a shot, once I get it running and a good feel for the truck. Thanks man!
|
If you are in the area on the 26th stop by with a helmet and I can get you some rides in cars, there will be 100, some really nice cars like a GT3 RS will be there, that car is nuts to ride in.
|
damn I wish I could, thanks for the offer, going to have to hit you up next time.
|
Any updates? There is another auto-x on the 24th if you are free.
|
bed tubbing
:hail: great build, I love it, I love the work, I love everything about your project
about the bed tubbing, can't you use the old bed's tubs and weld them into the new bed? and, what are you going to do with the bed's door? that will look weird (the bed higher than the door) overall I like it A LOT |
I cant wait to see this thing done.

The bed door, you'll see it won't look funny and appear factory. |
Hey Nick, are you gonna have your truck ready for some of the local shows?
Summer Nats or the summer show in Marlborough and there is a show in Dedham as well, at the Dedham Estates? I'd like to see that bad boy in person and meet up. |
No way I got another year probably till it's done, however I'm around all summer if you'd like to come check it out. How big is the Dedham one, haven't been but I did a lot of work on a buddies truck (pic below) and he may bring it over.

Awesome job. The one in Dedham is not too big, not too small. It was fun, last year was the first year I went. A lot of different cars. |
That Looks Sweet Nick.
|
Very nice! Man blue is just by downfall. Every car/truck Ive done has been blue. Im trying hard to fight it for the Camaro project, lol. That pic isnt helping:lol:
|
Thanks guys, he loves it, I'm glad I was able to help him out with it.
|
hmm
just because I'm already waiting for updates, is there any way you can fabroc the rest of the tubbing to imitate the factory looking? and, aren't you going to use airbags in the front? I can't wait to see the whole frame finished and running
|
Ive been working on the rear tubs, and yes, I'll get some pics soon once I get some worth it. Also yes, I'm using DA shockwaves upfront, with internal ride height sensors, air all the way around. Laying on frame, 5" ride height and about 9" of total lift.
I'm going to run sheetmetal inners up front also. Thanks guys! |
