The color is Ferrari Grigio Silverstone (thanks Dan!)....stunning color in person and Carter really nailed the hue!

I know, I was kidding around - I haven't decided on the final color yet. My latest favorite is a Scion color! Ya, I'm def looking fwd to the homecoming so I can change my mind again - that color really pops!

Steve68 10-03-2008 10:17 AM

Since this threads 13 pages long and theres lots of posts, Can someone tell me what happend, Last time I talk(phone) to Anthony we were discussing wheels and his car was getting ready to go off to paint, then he had it home and it was time to put it back together, Now it off to another bodyshop for a redue, new color, and etc, what happened to the last guy that did all the work,??? And when did you find out that he did such a ****ty job,

Autokraft 10-03-2008 01:47 PM

Anthony, I love that color scheme. Looks badass. Like everyone else, I can't wait to see it come together. You are in good hands with Pete!!

What cave have you been in the last two months? I suppose someone has to be the last to know and it looks like this time it's you. ;)

Here's the link to the original thread https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=16185 which is 21 pages long. lol If you want to really save time read post #1 and then post #23. It really is a cool story so I suggest reading them all so you can see how things developed.

:captain:

conekiller13 10-03-2008 02:31 PM

The attention to detail on that redering is great. He even got the split lines on the spoiler. Carter really nailed the color.

Tony your very welcome on the color suggestion, it's by far the least I could do compared to what others have done here for You. Hopefully My car is not far behined Yours for getting back on the road once Yours comes back. It's good to be working on Mine again after taking a year or so off of it. I'm just thinking I may have to convert mine to ethenol or battery power by the time it's done. Oh well, I gues I can live vicarously through You for a while.

CarterHickmanDesigns 10-03-2008 02:57 PM

Thank you guys on the kind words on the render and for catching my treads!

syborg tt 10-07-2008 06:54 PM

I am really looking forward to watching the progress on this car. I am sure it will look awesome.

Cudo's to Carter on the awesome rendering.

on a side note i got this e-mail today and I thought it would make TOny feel better about the condition his car was returned to him in. I need to warn everyone this is not for the faint at heart. This car was actually ruined by the bodyshop.

skatinjay27 10-07-2008 11:16 PM

wow marty that car is muffed up! im was so amazed with that horrific job.

evilzee28 10-08-2008 03:41 AM

It'd be a nice touch if you were able to get the rebuild/paintwork etc video'd step by step with daily updates, like Frank from Prodigy Customs is doing on Larry Callaghans car over on Pro-touring.com.

Instead of having a "build book" that people like to see, it'd be a build video:unibrow: .That way everyone can feel "involved" with the rebuild after having donated to it:thumbsup:

68 Rendering

Anybody named Tony has got to be a nice guy.....right? WOW, Carter did a absolutely beautiful rendering! That color is going to look great. Ive never seen a group of people band together like this and help a person out. Everyone should be proud. It restores my faith in people. What a GREAT bunch of people, this is a truly great site. Proud to be here.

Tony,

not sure if this has been addressed yet, but are you planning on running a front spoiler?
i think you should!

conekiller13 10-08-2008 02:35 PM

I think that would look good too.

fleet 10-08-2008 02:45 PM

It seems that a lot of us who are electronically attached to your car at the hip would feel better if you add a front spoiler Tony.

We are asking nicely.

awr68 10-08-2008 04:09 PM

Front Spoiler...

I had a new front spoiler and then sold it to a member here. I really like the 67-8's without a front bumper and spoiler....think Red Witch! Ultra clean! Honestly without the bumper I think the spoiler looks a little weird/out of place. But I am leaving the mounting holes and it is an affordable test to do once the car is finished....I'm sure I will try one on and see what it looks like. ;)

I agree. I think a front spoiler would look good as well. Just my .2 cents.
Car is gonna be awesome anyways.:unibrow:

Hey, sometimes there is a price to pay for looking good.

At least that's what I've heard..:unibrow:

Besides, what could happen?
