Since this threads 13 pages long and theres lots of posts, Can someone tell me what happend, Last time I talk(phone) to Anthony we were discussing wheels and his car was getting ready to go off to paint, then he had it home and it was time to put it back together, Now it off to another bodyshop for a redue, new color, and etc, what happened to the last guy that did all the work,??? And when did you find out that he did such a ****ty job,
|
Anthony, I love that color scheme. Looks badass. Like everyone else, I can't wait to see it come together. You are in good hands with Pete!!

Here's the link to the original thread https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=16185 which is 21 pages long. lol If you want to really save time read post #1 and then post #23. It really is a cool story so I suggest reading them all so you can see how things developed. :captain: |
The attention to detail on that redering is great. He even got the split lines on the spoiler. Carter really nailed the color.
Tony your very welcome on the color suggestion, it's by far the least I could do compared to what others have done here for You. Hopefully My car is not far behined Yours for getting back on the road once Yours comes back. It's good to be working on Mine again after taking a year or so off of it. I'm just thinking I may have to convert mine to ethenol or battery power by the time it's done. Oh well, I gues I can live vicarously through You for a while. |
Thank you guys on the kind words on the render and for catching my treads!

Yeah Steve it was a REAL bad deal!
But it's all better now! There's lots of good happening now, that's for sure! |
It's going to look great Anthony, Sorry I havent said a hole lot latelty been burning the midnight oil on body panels.
|
LOVE the new rendering.. very very cool...
Hey, this means I can do another f-body garage deal.. or maybe a "bit" more.. lol Looks great and can't wait to see Pete work it over. Let me know if you need anything. |
The rendering is just killer. I really like the rear spoiler. :hail:

|
Anthony, Give me a heads ups when your getting it back and I'll fly in to help you put it togethor. I can give you at least a 4 day week end. But, I'm not sleeping in that camper:rofl:
|
Thanks Mark!! Are you sure...it pretty comfy!! :)
|
I am really looking forward to watching the progress on this car. I am sure it will look awesome.
Cudo's to Carter on the awesome rendering. on a side note i got this e-mail today and I thought it would make TOny feel better about the condition his car was returned to him in. I need to warn everyone this is not for the faint at heart. This car was actually ruined by the bodyshop. http://my350z.com/forum/lounge-off-t...0z-ruined.html wow is all i can say. |
WOW Marty that car is screwed!! Poor guy!! I feel for him!

wow marty that car is muffed up! im was so amazed with that horrific job.
|
It'd be a nice touch if you were able to get the rebuild/paintwork etc video'd step by step with daily updates, like Frank from Prodigy Customs is doing on Larry Callaghans car over on Pro-touring.com.
Instead of having a "build book" that people like to see, it'd be a build video:unibrow: .That way everyone can feel "involved" with the rebuild after having donated to it:thumbsup:  |

literally - this has got to be one of my favorite pictures Pictures like this make me feel good about some of the work I did when i was 14. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...t/DSCF0321.jpg |
^^^^^ gotta love dry wall screws!
Now back to Tony's car...any new progess? |
Glad to see the new direction in color. Dont want any bad memories every time you see your car (blue). Nice rendering Carter.
Tony... the car will be bad azz ! |
68 Rendering
Anybody named Tony has got to be a nice guy.....right? WOW, Carter did a absolutely beautiful rendering! That color is going to look great. Ive never seen a group of people band together like this and help a person out. Everyone should be proud. It restores my faith in people. What a GREAT bunch of people, this is a truly great site. Proud to be here.

Tony, not sure if this has been addressed yet, but are you planning on running a front spoiler? i think you should! |
I think that would look good too.
|
It seems that a lot of us who are electronically attached to your car at the hip would feel better if you add a front spoiler Tony.
We are asking nicely. |
Front Spoiler...
I had a new front spoiler and then sold it to a member here. I really like the 67-8's without a front bumper and spoiler....think Red Witch! Ultra clean! Honestly without the bumper I think the spoiler looks a little weird/out of place. But I am leaving the mounting holes and it is an affordable test to do once the car is finished....I'm sure I will try one on and see what it looks like. ;)

I knew Penny would get brought up! Don't worry I will test fit one and probably love it!! That's untill I break it off due to my low ride height! ;)
