What's with the painted over wiper motor sticking out of the firewall? I would expect every detail, no matter how small, be taken care of for something in this price range. WTH?

Look closely...there is no detail.

From the magazine story, it seemed that the car was purchased with the body work and paint already completed. So, the drivetrain got swapped and interior was re-done. Why is it worth more than $180,000? Don't get me wrong, it's a nice looking car, but what makes it so great? The Supra motor? Can I expect this sort of return if I buy a clean First gen and throw in a hopped up import motor? :_paranoid

evs beautiful car but you do have 1 thing wrong 1st and 2nd gen camaros were not built in canada they were built in van nuys ca and norwood oh and that is fact

deocon 08-31-2009 06:58 AM

Some 1st gen Camaros were built in Manila Philippines.

Under the Yutivo Corporation. It even has Y codes.

This is the site of the Yutivo Corp. assembling Camaros overseas in the Philippines.

X2 this is just all sorts of wrong on this car.

 Honestly I had the same initial reaction but I have changed my tune and appreciate the project now.

Just like I used to be ignorant and HATE Fords and Mustangs growing up like I thought a die-hard Chevy guy was supposed to be like. Now I really love a 65 Fastback.

X2^^ I found a lot of great info there and had NO IDEA they were ever produced over seas. If someone had told me that without the site to back it up I would have called them a liar and I would have been a fool. Never say never! Thanks for posting the link, that was really neat to see.

That engine is not worthy of a Camaro, I don't care how much power it makes.

We understand there are those who approve of a Toyota motor in it, but save your energy.

It could be a 3000 hp Lexus motor, but you ain't changin' our minds.
