I do believe Mike's Custom Cars does good work. Sometimes things do not go as planned. I'm not taking sides here. Good luck to all!!

nvr2fst 11-27-2009 12:53 PM

Wayne looks like things are moving forward. Hows the garage plan coming along.

waynieZ 11-27-2009 01:26 PM

Hi Dave The loan for the garage gets signed Dec third.
Todd it isn't 3 yrs it almost 2- 1/2 but I let Mike finnish another car the first summer.
I saw some parts from Rich's car they look like glass. He'll be excited to see them.
I've been picking up some more fuel system parts . All I need now is the hardlines and hoses and fittings, wihich is still quite a bit. I think I'm going to run 10 -AN feed line to the front and 6 -AN return hard lines with black teflon braided hose for connections.

That will look AWESOME Wayne. Good luck with everything.
I would really like to see your car when done or even half way done. Mike's CC does great work. (I've been tossing the idea of getting the deluxe shell of the '69 Camaro that he sells. The one with the doors and hood and trunk lid. When I get re-hired and back on my feet, of course!!)

waynieZ 11-27-2009 10:29 PM

Your all set then Tony. Mike has one forsale its got the extra wide tubs and his frame rails in it. I think they let you either 355's or 385's out back. With tires like that you can hook up with some big power.

Vegas69 11-27-2009 10:43 PM

Wayne, a 6 AN return is small. I'd match the feed line or better yet plumb it like Jody does. Return right at the tank. I'd just insulate the fuel line very well in high heat areas.

Wayne, that is cool she has a foster child. My wife and I got state licensed last year and got our first two kids at once Nov 15th and they were awarded to their grand parents Dec 17th. We had a 6 mos baby girl and a 3 year old boy. It was a really neat experience. We totally loved it. They were extremely good and cute kids.
Hope your car gets going soon. I am sure you are collecting some really cool parts for it.

waynieZ 01-02-2010 03:19 PM

Tony when I get it back from MCC it will be a full roller, sub frame and rear end with G bar new and all finnished. My friends Buster and Spaceman (Steve ) will help me do the rest. I have most of what I need to finnish it. When I get the casah It will be painted by Jennings Garage here at home. He's had some show winners and cover cars, plus we've been friends for 35 years. Sh** thats a long time. I can't afford a new interior so I will start with the original for now unless I find a sugar mama! lol
Sam Were hoping she will get to stay here with us, she's been here for a year. Got me hoping she stays for sure.

Hi Guys its been a while sence my last update. I E mailed Mike he said the inner body has been under coated and is ready for him to weld on the sheet metal. He's going to try to get it ready for August if everything goes ok.
I made a sweet buy on E Bay today I bought a V.A. front runner for my motor. It was already a sweet deal and I used Bing.com (which is ending soon ) and got $92 back from them and $32 from E Bay cash. So that softened the blowon my wallet. I was watching it for a while but held back from buying it beacuse I still need a lot of other stuff. But it got the best of me. I always wanted one. I watched one go by on here and it killed me.
So thats the news the sports and the weather !

Good deal Wayne- Should look great on the engine!- Rich

waynieZ 07-01-2010 09:42 PM

My Front Runner got here today. Boy this thing is purdyyyy I have a new toy to play with for a while. The guy I bought this from, on E Bay is such a nice guy I had asked him if he would ship it for the selling price. Before he could answer me I pushed buy it now. So I agreed to pay the shipping. After I paid it he sent me an e mail saying he would send me a check for the $40 shipping. I already agreed to pay the shipping but he did it anyway. You won't run across too many people who would do that.

GregWeld 07-01-2010 10:01 PM

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

That's very cool of the guy. You are right, not many people would do that, especially these days!! GOOD DEAL!

Wayne.

Looks like you will have a very nice car. Mike does awesome work.

How is the coating on the front runner pulleys. My buddy had a set a few years ago and it was coming off where the belt ran. He had his rechromed.

waynieZ 07-21-2010 07:47 PM

I talked to Mike he say he will try to have the body all welded up this week. I can't wait to see it.
Prostreet69cama
This set up was mounted on a display engine and never run so I'm not sure how well they will hold up. I hope they last.
I picked up a deal on AAW's website in the cleearance section. I bought a DSE Optima batery hold down for $120 its the polished one. They have the brushed one for $89. Its a pretty good deal. Any body who needs one should check it out.
