Here's a couple updates. We are installing the sheet metal back in the car. We have to make custom peaces to tie into the cage and make a custom header to tie back into the windshield and front bar of the cage. We put a little style in to it to accent the main hoop punch flares at the rear door pillars.
Finished up the drip rails to. We didn't want to get rid of them completely. So we just tied it in below the roof line and faded it at both ends to give that extra detail. Put all that time and work into something ya need to make it show. I always like these details. It gets people scratching there noggens. |
nice job...

The Mopar Fall Fling is this weekend and she needed to look a little presentable. so we put a little spit shine on and were ready to rock. Sence we'll be out and about this weekend were also going to hit up a few local hang outs. Bob's Big Boy in Northridge and Super Car Sunday on Sunday morning. If there's any locals come on out and say hi.

Sorry its ben a little bit. Couple more up dates. Got the rocker extensions pretty much wrapped up. Were doing side exit exhaust and didn't just want tips sticking out the side. Also that nasty pinch weld at the bottom of the rocker makes me cringe when I see it on high end builds. People do all this work to clean up a car and the pinch is still there. We not only eliminated the pinch but made the rocker longer. It helps the over all look of the car to appear lower and make an opening for the exhaust tip look like apart of the car. Also got the steering system finished. It was a bit tricky because of the booster being pushed back. Needed to get that addressed before we start making the headers and exhaust system.

Actually I dig those blacked out lips, was thinking of doing that myself. Looks especially good on late model exotics with the one piece forged rims where the spokes crawl all the way out to the rim. Not sure that look would work for an older car though.
Great Mopar, love these cars when done right. I find pictures of finished cars boring, I'm a build thread junkie ! |
Are you going to extend the quarters to follow the rocker line or leave it as is?
Work looks great on the car |
now your cookin' great progress

To answer your question. The front was dropped down and a 2010 SRT8 chin was added. But now that we did the sides and the 2011 spoiler has a new design and look that better fits the car we might redo some sheet metal and adapted the new chin. Not sure about the back end. We'll have to push it out side and get a good stand back feel and view first. Just got the d/s stainless tip made and mocked up to fit in the cut out. |
Wow, great work. Love the stainless tips.

Amazing Work! :hail:

INCREDIBLE work. The back of that Cuda gives me a chubby.
|
Very nice!

Chin spoiler looks great. The 2011 one is more aggressive looking, post pics of that when you get there for sure. Was the 2010 the right width for the Cuda or did ya modify it to fit?

Cool, thanks for answering. It will make it easy to replace when your customer scrapes it up (if the metal isn't messed up).

Couple more pics. As always with these cars. One thing leads to another and being one-off on almost everything you touch or modify makes the next step one off and difficult. So we finally got to the point to make headers. I got the D/S rapped up and let me tell you! Being the first set of headers I've ever done and out of S.S.. It wasn't the funniest. Besides Mopar likes to put everything on one side. Starter, custom steering, and making sure things are serviceable when don, adds to the fire.
Whata guys think? |
incredible work.

Looks Incredible. I can't wait to see more pictures

Very nice work:thumbsup: .I was wondering how you guys deal with surface rust in areas that are inaccessible after metalwork has been done for a while?
|
Wow, great work! Those welds looks awesome! :hail:

We try to keep bare hands off and wipe it with a little metal prep. Also if the weather is alittle bad I turn on the air so it keeps it cool and dry. Some of the pics show sum rust but the pic makes it look way worse than it is. Mark |
Looks great Mark!

As always amazing work.
