RECOVERY ROOM 04-28-2010 07:00 AM

Greg ,I work on so many Camaro's anymore that they feel like there mine...lol.( I just posted that pic for my online auction for parts to the highest bidder):unibrow:

GregWeld 04-28-2010 07:15 AM

Yep -- just another belly button car... everybody's got one!

Owning a "tri five" chevy is the same thing... every other garage on the block has one.

When someone says that to me -- I just laugh and ask them if they know why that is..... "Because everybody loves 'em - that's why". Can't argue that.

awr68 04-28-2010 04:35 PM

I want to see the material that will be used on the top........................:unibrow:

Mark, I think the tires are dirty! j/k! The car looks stunning!

I over heard some talk about using wicker..... :_paranoid

bigtyme1 04-28-2010 05:52 PM

Wicker? Maybe red to match the brakes. Tracey is working out the final details on the top this week so if all goes well. Color has still not been decided yet. But it will be top line material.

GregWeld 04-28-2010 08:59 PM

I know one thing -- I've collected a whole folder of Recovery Room interiors... and I can say that there isn't a single one of them that I don't like... they're all just killer...

Must be the Nebraska corn?

98ssnova 04-28-2010 09:21 PM

how about a two tone to match the paint with red stich to match the brakes and then you have tied it all in:wow: . And i still cant wait to see what the changes to dash will be.:D

Tracey, As we were going over the design today I forgot to mention one more thing I wanted to add. no big deal, we may just have to make the console a little wider then normal. When I saw this I thought the color was perfect for are sceam.

Nice

prostreet69cama 07-18-2010 05:13 PM

Yes I would like to see pictures of the interior too. Dash turned out nice. Are you gonna paint it or put leather on it?

We used the soft feel paint from PPG. It is awesome. Feels like rubber and matches the leather. Well the color is base coat matched to the leather.

Car looks real nice.

Oh yeah -- that whole "select" - click on the "load 'em up" button - and wait 2 minutes really wears me out too!

:woot:

byndbad914 07-26-2010 05:23 PM

slight hijack - is this the car I just saw Sunday in Longmont CO at the ColoRODans show? If so, that interior turned out really nice - my buddy is building a PT 68 convertible for a guy and I was using your interior as an example of a nice setup, especially the back seat area

You aint kidding. It reminds me of the time I made a hotel reservation for a show and flirted with the cute sounding girl on the phone only to find out at check in months later she weighed as much as my truck and trailer combined.
This better be good Tracy. LOL

RECOVERY ROOM 07-27-2010 10:39 AM

I'm not teasing, I'm just hate messing with posting pics:lol: It took two years to start a thread on the interior section after I paid my sponsor fee.

no photos exist! do they? This is all an illusion. Its a post to see how many of us fall for it.

RECOVERY ROOM 07-27-2010 08:23 PM

The truth is I lost the memory cards that I have been using for the car, I found them with the kids camera crap and now we will start at the beginning, The weather really screwed us in getting the car here when we planned, So we just waited till it was possible, I worked on the cars that made their time slots to keep them moving thru and worked on Marks car in between them and on Saturdays. I had a guy push his car back because they were behind on it so I jumped on the Camaro and started planning with Mark. After alot of discussion we came up with a look and colors that he liked and added some better parts also. (This also gave Mark a chance to dig up some coffee cans in the back yard:rofl: ) I like the direction it headed in because it won't look like a race car or it was built with an Erector set.... The pictures he was sending me of modern cars he liked work really well with this car. I don't think there is room for anymore components, Bad ass stereo,I phone,USB,storage areas, L E D
lighting for soft lighting, Euro beechwood accents,Polished and brushed trim accents. He found some air vents that are really cool looking. It has been fun talking with him and going back and forth with ideas. I will put up some pictures from the beginning when we ripped it apart and go from there

RECOVERY ROOM 07-27-2010 08:39 PM

We stripped it apart
http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n...1/IMG_4751.jpg
flatten out the floors,And no you won't even lose room.... 1/2 inch at most, Makes the carpet lay flat without bumps, I use pour foam to seal and fill the voids then we dynamat over aluminum blocks heat and sound, I will load more pics of that step later

I am loading more detail pics later and will start showing the pretty pics when I get them in order
