Tom, here's a video that I took of Bret doing a great job on the AX course in his Camaro... but it's a big file, 24mb at 720x480, you may want to 'right click, save target as'.

Here's a video showing how loud Jackass is at idle.

www.Lateral-g.org/temp/Jackass_idle.wmv

It's a bigger file, 4mb at 720x480, you may want to 'right click, save target as'.

XcYZ 06-11-2009 09:42 PM

Last video, here's a clip from when we were lining up Jackass and the 2010 Nickey Camaro for a few pics. It sounded great.

www.Lateral-g.org/temp/Jackass_Nickey.wmv

Again, it's a big file, 5mb+

I think the rake on the front grill is perfect. I believe Hot Rod or one of the other mags has one of these as a build-up project.

Hot Rod. That's Rob Kinnan's car.

LOL, you can see me do a pirouette watching the car go around me! :captain:

At least this wasn't the run where this nastiness happened
I think I see Scott in the back ground

This '55 looks very straight.
Hopefully there is a better pic of it out there.

There's just something about dog dish hubcaps that's cool... Here's an awesome Cuda that was at the Detriot stop:

Very cool Scott!!
Jackass sounds really good at idle. That NICKEY Camaro sounds SICK though!:hail:

Mike Moran had his Pro-Mod at the Detroit stop. I've never been around a Pro-Mod before; I was surprised how hard the motor hit for a turbo motor when he started it.

I bought a set of them copper caps myself for a certain plain brown wrapper. :D

E.rodz 06-12-2009 10:04 AM

wow thats some serious coin just in fittings alone.what kind of times does this thing run?

ironworks 06-12-2009 10:17 AM

Scott that is one of the smoothest sounding Cars I have ever heard. Did you see the methanal just flowing out the exhaust. That is one bad dude.

At the Street Car Super Nationals last year it was running low low 6's and I heard it has ran some high 5's this year. I guess that will do.

I kept gravitating to this car.... I just loved it. It was perfect.

This Challenger looked great with the bulged fenders and quarters. The deep lip gave the car some attitude.

XcYZ 06-12-2009 03:29 PM

This is a complete C5 Vette with 68 Camaro skin stretched to fit. It had the C5 interior and a Harrop to top it off. The craftsmanship was fantastic.

The billet filler followed the compound curves of the top of the quarter.

Nice face lift on the Challenger.

Not a fan of the front and rear styling but obviously quite a Camaro and an interesting build for sure.

It was interesting. I walked around it a few times before I snapped any pics of it. I'm with you on the front styling.

I thought this 57 was great, loved the motor....

I should have been specific on that Camaro's rear styling. Its that 'stub' spoiler that detracts IMO.

Awesome motor, a BBC cross ram!

Thanks for the pics Scott.

Pictures of pictures. lol

Here's a fun pic of Charley taking a pic of Jackass and the Nickey Camaro.

And here's a pic I took of an autographed pic with Arnie The Farmer Beswick racing Richard Petty. This picture is being hand delivered to Richard Petty for him to also autograph. As I understand, this was the last pass Richard Petty ever took as it ended in disaster, injuring 7 and killing a kid at a crash in Georgia in '65. (a drag racing history buff would know a lot more, this is just what I was told) Anyways, lots of history, thought I would share.

I agree!!! Very nice car. Morgan's car, the green 68 convertible is a really nice car as well. I got to see it in person last summer. It's got a 383 stroker with 500 horses.
Thanks for posting Skip!

fleet 06-15-2009 07:32 AM

I don't know other than it looks like an OEM air cleaner on it, so it could be a real 302 car.

Tony,

You're welcome.

Morgan's car is one of my favorites, and I'd like to see it in person also. That green top ... clever IMO.

waynieZ 06-15-2009 01:19 PM

I agree Morgan's car looks sweet...

Did anybody get pics of the silver '69 Camaro at Bristol with SB2 NASCAR motor? That thing was incredible.

If you go to the 2009 Summer Nats this year, you may be able to see his car in person. He lives in Shrewsbury, MA I believe, which is like a couple towns over from Worcester. Later.
