Any updates?

Nothing real new. We have been having some mechanical issues and really not sure what the problem is. So it's been parked most of the summer. I haven't had much time either to get the problem resolved either. I hope to post more soon. Thanks for the interest.

Project Olds back on the road....
 

I wanted to thank Phil, Jeremy, Neal and the crew at The Roadster Shop for helping us diagnose and get the Olds back on the road. Thanks guys for taking the time out of your busy schedule to give me a hand. This is what I love about this community. When you need a hand, someone is usually willing to help. You guys rock. Thanks again guys.

Turns out the oil pump was way overkill for the engine, causing low pressures at operating temp. They found that it would make in excess of 150 psi cold. We went with a new pump and seems to be working fine. I drove the car home from their shop, 130 miles. Everything seems a ok. Looks like I'll get some time in the car after all.

That's great that they were able to track that down Robert! You deserve some time to enjoy the car - I hope you have a great time with it!!!!

Thanks James. It was a little stressful driving it. But so far so good. I'm taking the advice from Chris Jacobs and Randy Johnson, I'm just going to drive it and enjoy it.

They guys at Windy City Rods and Restorations did a great job with the make over, which will be in the June issue of PHR. They didn't want to let the car leave the shop without addressing some of the visible issues. Make sure you check them out.

Robert, I've loved your car since the first time I saw it at a very wet Good Guys show in Joliet a couple years ago, but WOW, what a transformation. Car looks GREAT!!!
