Thanks AJ. Hopefully I will be thru with the Chevelle by the end of this year. No later than the spring of 2013. Then I can start on the truck by the summer of 2013 or at least by the fall of 2013.

Bluesman1 03-02-2012 04:30 PM

Howard, that's just wrong man! You know I'm sensitive about that. LOL!!! How's it going? How's your 70 Chevelle coming along? Hopefully I'll be back down thru your neck of the woods around May.

I know man that was a cheap shot, sorry!!!!! I know your ready but it seems we're always waiting on something or someone. As far as mine just getting all the game plan together so i don't have to do and redo if you know what I mean. Take care and give me a shout when you come back through, may be we can finish talking without freezing our butts off and being hit up to help out the local bums. By the way we went back to Hattiesburg to look at a new fifthwheel, we stopped at burgerking to get my little girl some lunch. Low and behold guess who hit us up for money. Yeap you guessed it, ol dudes wife that was in the truck with him. Lol He must have been hitting someone else up because he was no where in site. Imagine that!!!!!!!! Lol

You're kidding me, right? The same guy, well his wife? So, now we know it was a scam. Remember, he gave us that ole sob story about his mom being sick and all. He must have not known we were two professional bull$hit readers.  We let him know we were born one day, but not the day he tried to pull one over on us. LOL!!  That is just too darn funny.

I agree with AJ. Those are going to look killer on the truck Marcus. We'll need a build thread of that bad boy after the Chevelle.

No big update guys, but I do need some help if someone knows a line on a good deal of Michelin Pilot Super Sports. 345/30/20 rears and 265/30/20 fronts. Vince at HRE sent me a pic of my wheels. He said the are finished with them and should ship out by the end of this week. Here's the dilemma though...he said with the rear wheel being a 20x13 and as wide as it is, I better make sure whoever mounts it knows what they are doing. Basically, make sure that they don't bust the silicone bead on the center of the two rim halves trying to mount a tire that wide. Now, he did offer to mount and balance the tires for me for free if I sent them to him. What a guy huh? So, before I have Tirerack drop ship them to HRE, I figured I'd ask if anyone knows a good deal on some. Those dog gone tires are higher than giraffe booty. I included a few previously posted pics of the rims before I sent them back to be refinished in brushed and tinted clear. Let me know what you guys think...good or bad. I know some of you guys already hate the chrome lip.

Just pulled the trigger on my tires from Tire Rack. Dropped shipped them directly to HRE to be mounted and balanced. I should have them hopefully be next week. Will post pics as soon as I get them. Michelin Pilot Super Sports....fronts-265/35/20, rears-345/30/20.

Thanks Tonny! But, my feelings are hurt. Those are some expensive a$$ tires. I have never spent that much on tires. I can understand motors, transmissions, sheet metal parts, etc. But, for something that's not gonna last that long....crazy!! :willy: Let's just say I bet I won't be burning any rubber or doing donuts.:unibrow: :unibrow: :_paranoid :_paranoid

Hahahaha....you are right Tone. I'm going to have to push it just a weee bit. You know I'm gonna have to test it out. Then I'm gonna really feel stupid when I have to buy another pair of 345's.:(

You suck!! I say that because I am a couple of weeks from ordering my wheels. Those look awesome. I am sure you can't wait until they arrive at your door.

214Chevy 04-12-2012 01:45 PM

Haahhahahahahah....Greg, I was screaming like a kid on Christmas morning when I opened the email. Better pics coming when I receive them. What dimensions are your wheels going to be.
