Looking forward to seeing it at Columbus. Everything so far (from the teaser shots) about this build looks awesome. The tail panel is just sick.

billetman 04-24-2010 06:55 PM

Looking forward to the unveiling also. The design is quite impressive but like most anything else that is new and somewhat revolutionary it took me awhile to see the brilliance of it all. But now I see it clearly, and knowing Roger and the Lakeside crew like I do, the metal work, paint and all other details will be masterfully accomplished. We are in the process of machining much of the one off billet components for this G machine including the Brockmeyer inspired gauge bezels,Scar script insignias and sculptured sill plates. We will be submitting pictures of these pieces when the time is right. Jeff Bertrand---J and B Microfinish

That's one hell of a picture. What kind of rear suspension is that?

Don't believe a word of this "Hemi' crap..it is old school though...a slant 6 w/ one off weber injection...sounds kinda like a souped-up chain saw runnin next to an open microphone. Proly around 260 hp would be my guess...Tracy, you know Roger's gettin old, and he couldn't handle a hemi.

If Scar looks clean...then the Cuda is nothin but "dirty"

tones2SS 05-08-2010 09:52 AM

Man, that Cuda looks nasty!
Any spec on it?

kart34 05-10-2010 05:59 PM

Keeping the thread off topic but this really is a badass car. Just saw it at the Des Moines GG.

Can't wait to see Scar in Columbus!

Mr.VENGEANCE 07-04-2010 12:12 PM

Goddamn!.. im feeling everything except the face!

maybe with a chinspoiler ill be on board all day but the front just looks a little too big or something..

CRCRFT78 07-04-2010 12:12 PM

Looks good but I don't care for the aircleaner coming through the hood.

mexMan 07-04-2010 12:44 PM

I give it a no, even though the quality being outstanding, I don't like the result, not a bit.

I agree with you there! I'm digging it, but I think it needs a chin spoiler. Also, I'm a little "iffy" on the design around the air cleaner. Other than that, I really like it.

I bet you'd care for the 864 hp Hemi that's the reason for the air cleaner sticking though the hood.

To be honest I don't care how much hp that Hemi is making, I still don't like the aircleaner sticking out of the hood.

canrc 07-04-2010 08:53 PM

The Cuda looks great!!

Would it be possible to get some info about the paint on the Cuda??

96z28ss 07-05-2010 04:19 PM

That air cleaner out of the hood feels to 1980's to me.
All that stuff around it has alot of time and workmanship around it but doesn't work on that car. Everything else on that car is spot on. Rework the hood and shorten the intake to fit under the hood and it would be the total package.

Cams-DK 07-05-2010 05:43 PM

In response to those asking in Des Moines last weekend, project "SCAR" is getting loaded on the semi Wednesday and we'll see you all in Columbus! Thanks for following the build. Wish we could have shown you more, but wanted you to have something to look forward to. See you at the autocross! Thanks again!

Scar

Dave and Karen allowed me to see some pictures of the finished car and the renderings in which it was fashioned from at the Goodguys Heartland Nationals and I've got to say that this car has alot of creativity behind it. Roger Burman and the Lakeside crew have performed the magic metal work that was required flawlessly and the Leisingers have had quite a bit of input in this "SCAR" cars construction. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this car in person this upcoming weekend at the Ohio State fairgrounds. See you at the autocross.

ProdigyCustoms 07-08-2010 09:02 AM

I think Scar will be very cool. Thrillbilly is bad ass but that air cleaner through the hood is to much for my taste. Looks like Roger has 2 shots at it this year.

Steve1968LS2 07-08-2010 09:42 AM

I do believe we are shooting a full feature on this car at Columbus for CP :)

As for the Mopar.. I like Thrillbilly, and I get the air cleaner through the hood deal (given the name) but it just doesn't work for me.

Plus, it would made driving in wet weather a bit problematic..

The rest is very

Thanks for getting it with the air cleaner through the hood detail,Steve. Roger built this car to follow a theme and although it looks wrong to some,it looks right and follows the original concept. On another note,I would like to see Roger throw a set of slicks on this beast and run it down the strip. Would anyone like to guess what this Hot Rod would run ET and top end?

HRBS 07-10-2010 04:11 PM

Congrats Roger and Lakeside Crew on your SMOY win !

With a name like "Thrillbilly" how could it NOT have the air cleaner through the hood.. lol

Although I can see where it would be a "love it / hate it" deal.. that's what happens when you try to go outside the box.
