Glad to hear its comming home. Its going to be hot down there, Enjoy it.

Looking good! Love the wheels with the factory trim on the car...looks cohesive. I always love a badass black first gen! :lateral:

I heard about your next project this morning. You got a really go start on a project for an incredible price. The stance and wheel and tire selection on that car are just about perfect. Let me know if you have any questions.

Nice car Chris.
Awaiting new pics. |
So i picked the car up late this afternoon and already got about 50 miles on it :D
But, I hate the brakes, the pedal is almost to the floor and I almost couldn't stop at the first stop sign I came to. Hopefully a few adjustments and they'll be fine. And the motor has to go, this thing sucks! It has no power, in fact, it wont even turn over the back tires! Other than those 2 issues, i absolutely love the car and how everything else turned out :D |
Good to hear, except for the brakes and engine.
Any idea on what you'd like to replace the brakes and engine with?:unibrow: |
So it won't go and it doesn't stop?

Ok, I bought this car from Rich Allen and I'm thinking of putting the motor and transmission in my 69.

Damn, two projects. :unibrow: Are you sure the current engine is tuned correctly?
|
Did you get your brake issue figured out? Car turned out great!

DO IT!!! lol:_paranoid  |
glad you car is up and running
looks sweet, too bad you did not make the very long trip to Motor State. Took me 18.5 hours with 2 blown trailer tires and no spare and 15 hrs back with one blown tire and a spare.
Look forward to seeing this car at RTTH...I assume that you are coming. What size master are you running? I think you are running manual brakes...take a quick look under the dash and make sure the brake rod is in the upper hole. Did you bed you pads in? |

I'll be making RTTH for sure this year. Was going to go to the Peach State Motor Car Challenge next weekend but I think were gonna go ahead and yank out the motor and trans and get everything ready for the new one :unibrow: Yes, we did everything to the brakes, were gonna make a few adjustments and see if we can get some more pedal. |
Took some better pictures tonight...

amazing car! Love the black wheels.
|
Very nice Chris. Car looks great. Nice stance.
ENJOY!! |
Car came out great Chris! Nice balance of old and new styling! The silver stripe on the wheels make them 'work'! Without the stripe it would be too much black....IMHO!
|
Thanks for the compliments guys!
I'm getting excited about this new motor I have coming, SO can't wait to get it in the car :unibrow: |
Looks awesome Chris, nice job for sure.

Black Anodized Radiator Cap
You might check out the Billet Specialties black anondized radiator cap to add to that already killer onyx package from Prodigy. In fact my radiator should be in from Frank in a couple weeks with the onyx package and that is what I plan on running.
Link to part at Jegs http://www.jegs.com/i/Billet+Special...75120/10002/-1 It is the only one that I have found that I like in black anodized. |
This car looks awesome!
|
Chris---car looks killer bro---great job!! How were the first impressions concerning the ride/handling? Will you be putting a spoiler on the front?
So you will be at the RTTH in Pigeon Forge come Sept? Doug |
It's really coming together, but of course it'll look much better once they put the vinyl roof on for you.

I have a list of things running threw my mind that I would still like to do :omg: |
After 2 long weeks we finally got the "other" project car in yesterday! Now we will be thrashing to get this thing apart and get the motor/trans in my 69 :unibrow:
Here are a few pics... http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/a...7camaro002.jpg http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/a...7camaro004.jpg |
damn chris you building two cars now!! I looked at buying that car. Nice project to finish up!!
|
For now I'm taking the motor and trans out for my car. Not sure if I'm going to build this one as it will be a year or so before we'll be able to start with everything going on. We might end up selling it after we get the stuff out for my 69. And yes, its a VERY nice car! The fab work that ironworks did is crazy and this thing could be bad a$$ when completed!!

Man Chris she has a little surface rust but she still looks great. I love that engine compartment. I had some bitchin ideas for the air intake system on that car. Nice to know she went to a good home.
|
Very nice Chris. That engine should wake that car up nice!!
