Because of working on customers cars I don't have a lot of time to work on my projects but we have gotten a few things done.

My son Brian, Steve Baur (former Modified Mustangs & Fords editor) and Buddy installing a Ron Morris EFI fuel pump and lines for a story that was featured in the magazine.

It looks nice.

GPR 10-13-2014 02:55 PM

The fuel lines and filter are attached to the subframe connector

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps81a2004e.jpg

They go through the torque box and into the engine compartment

GPR 06-22-2015 08:19 AM

I forgot to show this but awhile back Mark Houlahan came by the shop to help us install the Ron Francis wiring harness for the SOHC Mod motor.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psaa5804c7.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps53186c2f.jpg

We are not finished under the hood

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psc49a0ca9.jpg

Brian was helping Mark

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps2e237c1c.jpg

Takes a lot of wires to run a modern engine

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psc9dc5c4a.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps06a744e3.jpg

Every wire is numbered so you can't make a mistake if you hook it up to the same number on the control panel that is plugged into the stock Ford computer.

GPR 06-23-2015 07:11 AM

Brian and I were trying to figure out what we were going to do to cover up all the wires in the trunk and we found out about Mustang to Fear's trunk kit for the coupe. At the time we inquired they only had one made for the Eleanor style taillights. Rich said he was going to make one for the stock taillights and we also received the first gas filler neck cover.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pslaqvd0pz.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pskfopjnj5.jpg

We still have to make a bracket to mount the computer and control panel behind the the Mustang to Fear trunk panel kit.

You can read all about the install How to Finish Off Your 1967-1968 Mustang?s Trunk

Rusty,
Now that you have used Lizard Skin, and SPI bed liner, do you have a preference?

Thanks, Joe

No and there are a lot of different tailpipes for Mustangs.

jarhead 11-15-2015 03:57 PM

Rusty,
In one of your posts you used an epoxy to attach quarter panel extensions.

What was that product?

Can the pot metal style extension be welded if they are cracked, or need repairs on just the extension? I would like to fill the marker lights on my 68 Torino extensions, and then epoxy them onto the quarter panel.

Thanks, Joe

I really look forward to what you and your Son do. I am blown away at the craftsmanship. I also enjoy all the one off modifications.

Your customers must be like a kid in a candy shop when they visit. I know I would be.

I used 3m 8115 panel adhesive plus they were bolted on.

I don't know of anyway to weld pot metal.

I decided to mount the wiring behind the seat on the plywood board that came with the Mustangs to Fear trunk kit.

I replaced the coil packs and plug wires but still have a lot to do under the hood.

GPR 08-01-2017 05:51 AM

Mustang to Fear dash pad came in a long time ago and is a very well made dash pad. Now if I can only get the wiring straightened out under the dash I can install it.

LOL ------ I have custom made stainless steel big tube headers on the '65 Mustang track car --- I've never changed the plugs on the car... I wait until the end of each season and they pull the motor to refresh it.....

GPR 01-08-2018 06:03 AM

After a little modifying of the headlight buckets I got the headlights with built in turn signals to fit.

I hooked up the battery in the trunk (I still need to hook up the ground cable to the engine) to see what works. The Ron Francis trunk mounted battery kit has two ground gables one small short one that I have going to the body and a large long one that they want mounted to a bell housing bolt. So far the AC 3 blower speeds work, taillights, turn signals, and headlights.

I have a problem with the lights in the dash flashing when the key is off and the steering column harness is hooked up.

GPR 03-19-2018 08:05 AM

I installed the battery ground cable from the trunk mounted battery to the engine block and cured most of my electrical problems.

I like the color combination for the interior. I think it goes well with the red. Good luck finishing it up, Rusty.

GPR 05-02-2020 03:07 PM

I ordered a remote oil filter kit and when it came in it had large 12 straight o ring fittings with a barbed end the wouldn't clear the frame rail after a long search I found what I needed at Phenix Industries and ordered an adapter that reduced the hose to 10AN with 90 fittings. I was impressed with their products and decided to be a dealer. Nick made the new oil line and mounted the filter on the fender apron.
