well at least the suspensions finally in. I'm curious to see how awesome the engine compartment will look with the motor/tranny in and the fenders on. :willy:
|
Its gonna look AWESOME!
|
That looks awesome Brian. Good job. What did you use to sand down the intake? Just wondering if you used good old muscle with sand paper or an angle grinder first? I'm debating about doing mine body color, but haven't decided. It's covered in the little dimples.
|
Im sure Brian used muscle. He is a machine when it comes to sanding. I could wet sand half a door and brian would be done with the entire front end. Looks like someone made a lot of progress.....I have a brand new MAF if interested.. Its a 5 wire. Looks great! Wish I could help.
|
Thanks guys, and Mitch I wish you could help too! lol As for the intake I sanded it down by hand with 180 grit then filled the casting holes in the top with red filler putty to even it out. Then a couple coats of 2K high build primer, later ill wet sand the primer with 600 grit then some color and clear.
Also ill need that MAF Mitch, let me know how much |
LOOKS SICK Brin. I can't wait to come home fore spring break and see her. :willy: :faint: :willy:

Finished stripping out the old carpet and tar paper today. That was quite the chore. We also put down a coat of POR-15 to give the sound deadening insulation a good foundation to stick to.
Before; http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j.../Jan252011.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...Jan2520117.jpg After; http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...Jan2520118.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...Jan2520116.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...an25201111.jpg |

Looks good Brian. Keep up the great work.

thanks, yeah I have been working on the wiring. I ordered the engine harness as well so I have quite a bit of wiring ahead of me.
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...HPIM0001-1.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...HPIM0002-2.jpg |
Yeah i'm sure. I got a headache just tryin to figure out my 6AL box/ignition problem even with your help haha. remeber? I'm sure it will all come out nice.
|
Yeah haha! That was such a pain in the butt lol Yeah I have learned alot from all the cars.
|
Great progress!
That highway 15 kit is great. Its amazing how many wires you really only need. I suggest getting a couple of fuse blocks. 1 for ignition and 1 for constant though. The ECM has like 3 ignition wires and 2 or 3 constant. Mount those close the the ecu. I did the remote solenode as well and my car cranks fine even at 0 degrees here. Never had any issues either in 115 heat. |
thanks, I was kinda wondering what I needed for power on the engine harness. I will prob get another aux fuse block to send power to the PCM. I could piggyback off current circuits in the Highway 15 kit but im afraid of power draw and surges that may screw with the computer. Hopefully Ill have the SSP harness this weekend
|
yeah i was about to suggest to do all those things but. . . .yeah:_paranoid
|
I might of missed it, but what are you running for and aftermarket A/C?
