Yeah, I noticed the dually burnout in front of your shop, LOL. I'm ready as soon as I get some thrasher tires.
BTW, do you know Keith and Craig Mohler? Couple guys from Livermore I used to work with. |

I am not sure of those guys, what do they drive or work at here in town? |
LMAO, HO:Y **** DUDE!!! That is the BADDEST John Force burnout I have ever seen!!!!
Hell, whose John Force, for now on it's NOR-CAL NICK BURNOUTS!!!!!! |
:D .... trust me I can't wait to get my car rolling.
I will figure out another car day that we all can get together and have some fun over here. The road I am on is a loop that really no one drives down and on the weekends it's dead so we can have fun:unibrow: |

That was the wickedest burnout ever! Car or truck! :woot:
|
holy shi* nick!!!! :unibrow:
now serious question how do you get in a truck that big? it must have like a 4 step drop down. |
That truck could use another 6-12 inches of lift....IMO:unibrow:
|
I don't want to take away from Dave's thread but really it was some fun and I am open to doing it again and having a few more members come out. I started this thread >> Car meet in Livermore.....anyone?
Dave, you make a list of what you need help with on your car and I will make a list on my car you can do and we will swap for some car work.. :lateral: |
Killer burn out Nick!!! That was sick indeed. What a nice truck.
|
Nice ride Dave, that thing sounds awesome.:unibrow: Like the viper blue paint with the black wheels.

Well.. I was already planning on making the trip down to El Toro for RTTC in February, but after a few days in Vegas culminating in seeing the Optima shootout in Pahrump, I now have tunnel vision and am on a mission to get this car ready for the event. Hell, it's all I've thought about this whole week! :willy:
I plan on getting with a group of Bay Areans to make the trip down and am really looking forward to it. But for now, I am sourcing a few things to get ready, but am not going overboard. SEMA/Optima was bittersweet in that it's the premier event for our pro-touring niche, but it makes you want to spend all your money on more badass parts! Here's what I am going to do in the next month or so and call it good: rear Wilwood 12" brakes/4 piston rear Varishocks rear Hellwig sway bar 235/315 Nitto NT05 tires to meet 200 treadwear rule Canton Road Race oil pan 2.5 lb fire extinguisher And I just picked this barely used Be Cool radiator with dual Spal fans for a great price of craigslist today. Paid just over $500.. sells for $1100+ http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...h68/BeCool.jpg I'm so stoked to do the RTTC... this bug really seems to be getting a lot more people lately. I'll be starting a Bay Area RTTC thread soon. |
Sounds like a great plan...I need to look into a pan also.
|
why such small fronts?
i checked the nitto site and thats a 24.4" tire thats really short for a muscle car... what about the 255s there .5 tall and .5 wider, can you run that width of a tire on the front of your car? with a 235/315 setup the car might push a bit since the size difference is so big. |

Hey, I need a crew chief.. interested? :unibrow: |
Ah........ deja vu all over again........
 |
Nice score on the radiator setup Dave.
As much as I love the current stance of the car, you could come up a little in the front to lessen the number of ant's you decapitate going down the road! Not to mention less chance of more oil pan/scattershield damage :) |
Sounds awesome Dave. Good deal on the BE COOL radiator.
Good luck at RTTC. Have fun man!  |

Glad to hear you got the bug again and on the road to getting this thing some actual track time!

Looks like you found your C-10 pickup. Congrats. Email me some pics or start a thread! |
yes dave if there are 2 in block in the rear they are definitely compromising performance with that large of a block you have a good chance of getting axle wrap. with block is recommended to not exceed 1" for performance driving. what size tires are on the front now? if they are 235 40s then getting the new tires will raise the front almost .5

Fronts are currently 7 year old Dunlops 235/40/17. |
All -- I am wide open for critique on my upgrade plans for RTTC, so if you have comments or objections, I welcome them.

My guess as to why it has 235's now is due to the low front ride height. I'd make both changes at the same time.
|
So how do you like the 377 ? Im about ready to break the bank on one for me .
Nt01s will wear pretty quik ... |

What is your intended purpose and car? No one seems to build these anymore -- it's all about maximizing cubes these days. |

Plus, you're not getting any younger. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...08-1969A-1.jpg |
The car is a 86 Vette . i do alot of track days . Midwestern Road courses
Autobahn , Gingerman and Blackhawk. Havent decided on a trans either . My opinion is a 377 will live longer than a 406 |
