Did you notice the curve of my BFB (big fat belly) pulls the neckline down?

I'm not really that fat (or that short) but that shirt makes me look that way. :woot:

The parking logistics offer still stands. I'm in Long Beach +-1/2 from El Toro. I'll be at the Fri cruise and dinner and will be racing both days. I have a few secured car parking spaces at my house allong with a few trailer spaces. Also my truck and Suburban are available for transport to hotel.

I know the feeling of leaving your precious ride out at night and/or during your site seeing visit to So Cal.

PM me or contact me at [email protected]

Looks like we are coming down on Thursday nite. Will probably leave about 4 or 5 in the afternoon from Sac. area, and drive straight there.

I am semi thinking of driving to Griffith Park and/or Mulhuland Drive and take pictures on Friday, then meeting everyone at the carting or TCI for the BBQ. It is just something I have wanted to do. We'll see how the plans go.

Anybody else leaving the area late Thursday?

Whats the spectator situation for the RTTC event. Im going to come and check it out. Also.. what about parking. Im going to bring the camaro. Is there parking near by.. or is it a hike from the parking area to the event?

Sorry for the naive question.. but i have no idea what to expect.:lateral:

DRJDVM's '69 02-08-2011 08:41 PM

I'm not going to make it to RTTC is year....out of town from the 19th to 23rd, so I cant ditch the family again as soon as I get home..... but I'm off work Thur. I might just try and hook up with you guys as you pass through my area, hit the BBQ at Ironworks and head back home....

So if you plan on getting to Ironworks around 3 PM, that means you guys should be coming by my house around noon... I'll try and hook up with you guys....

Josh - there is technically no "spectators" allowed, but there appears to be a fairly liberal "pit crew" and friends/family allowance on another thread on PT.com. I can add you to my list on that thread if you'd like. Would love to see your car finally.

Ned, definitely try to hook up with Blake and/or Greg and that crew and meet us all at Ironworks. I am stoked for some BBQ and to check out that shop.

Dude --- you have two choices!

#1) Have Ken Block drive you in

#2) Ride your skateboard

:woot:

Missed ya at SEMA this year!?

monza 02-08-2011 09:26 PM

Maybe Ken could tow you around the course on your skateboard?

phillym5 02-08-2011 10:00 PM

Look here fellas...... thats enough of the Ken jokes!!

Flash...

Thanks for the offer to be one of your pit crew. I will except your offer. I'll bring a pen light and some mechanics gloves.

10-4 Josh. Glad to have you part of the "crew." You can tell me what I am doing wrong -- which will likely be most everything.

See ya there.

Ron in SoCal 02-09-2011 10:30 AM

Josh - Plenty of parking at the event, right near the activities. IMO very safe to leave your car there as it's only the participants and flash's list of 100 (or so) pit crew....

Unable to make the event after all due to the snow/ice we are expecting between here and there. :(
So take Steve Heino & Scott Borduin off the list :(

If anybody needs our entry passes for both days, let us know via phone @ 503-939-6899, or email at [email protected]
I would prefer to let the passes for both days go together, but will split it up if two people get together and need them.
