Dear Brian

Please tell your buddy Travis "Hi" for us all and Merry Xmas.

If your sweet van doesn't end up in a US magazine, please let us all know as we can probably put you in contact with a European magazine that loves vans. I'm sure there's a market for a unibody van with a bed on it, same as there's a market for Chevelle's with beds graphed onto the back of them just the same.

Also be sure to thank all his followers. We found their postings on their related forums as well.

Look Brian, it's like this as Rodger said this is a tight community. We are here to support each other. Whether it is with a build issue, a career choice, what to buy the wife for Christmas, whatever. If it means helping a brother have fun with an online contest that is obviously flawed, we will do it. No, I am not spending hours voting and voting. I figured out how this guy with the elco was amassing so many votes so quickly and put that out for other people to use if they wish. Every time I get online, I spent a couple minutes voting. You can put 10-15 in in about 3 minutes! If anything, it will show the magazine that they need to come up with a different script for doing this type of thing. I mean really, the first 2 places have almost 2000 votes each and third has 200. If you want to understand what's going on here, get off your high horse and participate in the community as it was intended. That is all you have to do to get in with the site favorite. Anyway, Rodger is only in the top 5 favorites. You have to remember folks like Todd, Greg, Doug, Kenny, etc...... Come to think of it, we should start a poll to decide who the site favorite is. Now that's grown up! :lateral:

Maybe when you're ready to play nice we will show you the secret handshake!

On second thought, you might want to start working on it now! This is your SPECIAL one!

If memory serves me correctly --- there's a song for that Brian!

EEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

novanutcase 12-24-2010 11:00 AM

I think Rodger should use Brians post as his sig.....

Also, Websters dictionary should use this post as an example for one of their words....

"douche bag

noun

a derogatory term, used most often to describe males; "jerk", "asshole".

I take one look at this and think if you will do this what else would you do as a business man?? Business is about character and you really aren't looking to good right now. Go ahead and bash me to get in good with the site favorite. I know if you vote 20x's maybe just maybe you will get a reply from Ironworks and be part of the in crowd.

Big names going along with this nonsense. What a bunch of sore losers. So all you guys ready to drop $300k and up on a car this is the place you want to do business with??? Maybe your truck didn't deserve anymore press??? Just maybe there were others that fit their criteria??

I had one of my cars shot by a big name on here. he made me drive 4hrs and sleep inside my car overnight for a photo shoot. I then rec'vd an email stating they were usining a different car. I simply said thanks for thinking of me and keep me in mind for future issues.

I don't usually read replies so you will be wasting your time with the 20 pages of what a great man Ironworks is just because you like his metal work.

Grow up!!!

So from the post can you tell my political agenda or my Liberal slant? I really doubt anybody voted or posted in this thread to get into any crowd. This is a pretty tight knit community and we all have a good time. It is about the people and the bad ass car found on here are 2nd. I posted this vote on this site and my Facebook only. Because these are my boys and I knew I did not need to or care if I posted it anywhere else.

Please don't tell me to grow up, Shoes and pants are hard enough to find. Greg already thinks I'm a 265lbs Giant.

Does this mean you did not vote in the sweater contest?

You're right. Cars are second, people are first. I didn't have to fill sandbags in Socal yesterday so I spent the afternoon voting for the truck in the hopes that you might think I was as cool as Doug, and now you're basically telling me it doesn't matter...Ugh.

Matt

come on matt you need to set your goals a little lower if you want them to be some what achievable... doug is so cool he made wearing shape-ups the pro-touring thing to do! watch how many you see a rtth now!

tones2SS 12-24-2010 03:02 PM

Just put in another vote for Rodger.
I thought of you Brian when I did it too. How's that? Was that grown up of me? In about about an hour, I'll probably vote for Rodger's truck again. Do I need your permission to do so, Brian?
Or, are you my keeper now and care what I do on MY time?:rofl:

Seems to be some personal issues need to be set aside during this holiday season. Being an Ironworks customer I consider your post an insult to Ironworks and its customers. I personally have no issues with Rodgers tactics and sometimes sarcasim on this site. Are you venting because you had to sleep in your car. Let us know when your ride makes it in a mag so we can all vote. :drama:

I think it is so funny that the votes for the elco climbed like 300 per hour earlier today for about 2 hours, and then it comes to a grinding halt of 1 every 2 hours after that. This morning it went pretty quickly across face book and my boys here on Lat-g have been hooking a brother up pretty good. And Yes I have voted a few times a day just to see what happens, but some poor guy with his pretty orange oil pan draggin on the ground in Las Vegas gets up everyday after working and alnight security job and racks up the votes for his Chevelle with a bed floor. And another fact that guy lives in Vegas and my truck has gotten more prizes in his front yard then I have ever laid my eyes on that car/truck before this vote came out.

HAHA I'm not really as arrogant as this rant sounds.

One more thing, could imagine if that kid woke up tomorrow and my vote tally was one million..... Hackers unite, man that would be funny. There is not way one million people would vote for a farm truck with no bed floor.

Thanks for the support guys.

Hey Brian !

Did you happen to read this before you posted?

Buy the way I just voted AGAIN :willy:

Merry Christmas.

ironworks 12-25-2010 03:51 PM

Thanks guys I just pushed up to up by 300. That is like 8-900 votes in 3 days. I have a hunch Charlie did about 700 of those. Win and prove nothing or lose and prove nothing it is really cool to see the support or my boys here on Lat-g. I just had no idea so many of you had such "poor character".

Merry Christmas.

"I had one of my cars shot by a big name on here. He made me drive 4hrs and sleep inside my car overnight for a photo shoot."

He made you sleep inside your car overnight ? No motels ? really ?

pokey64 12-25-2010 07:05 PM

I'm only good for one post per day. It's not that I have good character. I'm just to lazy to download firefox!

I just woke up in my car after spending the night in it---and voted for your truck. But only one time.

LOL Man-----how dare you drag me into this mud slinging contest.

Let's face it, the only thing that could make that truck any better would be to make it a 69 Camaro (It's already Payback black). Then I think multiple votes should be expected.

Doug

Listen, Joe Montana wears them---they have to be good. Jimi Day asked me if they were the new Summit Racing Pit Shoes. I'm glad you weren't around at that moment.

Well, back to the "Truck of the Year" contest, which, after reading this entire thread, isn't really that important evidently--even though the winner receives an IronWorks gift certificate for $10,000.
