Along with re-leading the roof/qtr seems, also doing some smoothing and tucking on the bumpers and any other Misc fab work that needed to be done. Time to make is pretty now!:gitrdun:

Here is a link to some photos ive been taking along the way. Look for some of the bodywork stage coming up soon.

Long Overdue Update!!

Hello Everyone!

It's been a long time for a update and sometimes I am not very good at keeping up. Joe and Paul have been working there Dutchboy magic on the Camaro project. I have a ton of pics to post so will require a few post I think.
They have moved the car from bare metal to painting it this week! I won't bore anyone with the details of each step as I myself can't even keep up with all the steps!:headscratch: But I am loving the end results:excited:
The car looks great so far and can't wait to keep it rolling along. Some of my pics are out of order and not all that great of pics with the crappy camera I now have since my good one died!
Well here are some pics!

tubbed69 12-03-2013 08:39 PM

thats great updates Chris, these guys do super nice work and bet you will be happy with the end results so post more pics asap, you are building a very nice car:thumbsup:

Some more pics! I have a bunch more pics but can't get them to post due pics being to large. I need to figure out how to resize them. I guess my crappy cell phone take pics that are to big. I will get them all posted to my photobucket account and post a link for it.

Thanks Greg! I always wanted a Daytona Yellow or Hugger Orange, but when my wife bought this car for me almost 10 yrs ago for Christmas as a surprise and it was green I was not sure but then more I looked around and seen this color the more I liked it. And the color is not seen as much as other classic colors on the Camaro.

I am really liking the color now that it's on also. I debated a long time on color due to the fact that it's one of those things you can't change with a turn of a wrench. In the end I made the right choice sticking with the cars original color

This thing is really looking good. You picked the right place to go to with Billy @ B&B, everything I have seen from him is top notch and he is great to deal with customer service wise. I've only heard good things about your painter also.

Great work by all. I'm sure you are excitied to get it finished!

Musclerodz 12-05-2013 09:24 PM

I have the AutoRad set up as well on my 68 Chevelle SS and I must say and I am sure you agree they are a piece of art. Also expensive but well worth it

GregWeld 12-12-2013 05:55 AM

AutoRad all the way. FTW!!

Yes - expensive… so is everything else that's GREAT.

Loved your "headed to work photo"…. thanks for bringing all the stuff we buy!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

ArisESQ 12-12-2013 02:57 PM

loving this build! not a very common color combination, and you're pulling it off nicely.

looking forward to seeing updates.

Greg,
Glad to be able to get everyone on Lat G there goodies they buy. When I started at Big Brown they told us think of every package as "grandma's cookies" because everyone loves getting her cookies! But I really know everyone here loves getting hot rod parts!:D :ups:

Thanks I am glad I did this color because its not all that common, I am trying now to figure out interior color. I am not Hugh fan of black, but not sure I want it all green either. Trying to come up with combo of both. Trying to keep with the orginal colors as much as possible but with some modern flare.

I think the original houndstooth pattern would probably look proper.

http://acetransmissionandauto.com/ya...161452_std.jpg

Maybe do some slightly more supportive seats with houndstooth inserts?

b757jetdr 12-13-2013 10:32 PM

Yes that is sort of one of the ideas I having going on my list!

Well stopped by for a quick gander at the car today. Dutch Boys Hot Rods is full of cars! Paul is trying make room so he bolted on some parts. Here are a couple pics! The new Ultimate Headers look great and fit like a glove!

GregWeld 12-14-2013 07:53 PM

I looked at those headers --- they're awesome. I think this is the first build I've actually seen them used on.

Project is coming along really nicely. Good for you!

b757jetdr 12-14-2013 08:04 PM
