Outstanding Work !!!!!!!!!!!! Dudely look's like the brother too my Winston.
|
What's the word I'm looking for to describe your car now. Nice is just too wimpy, cool is over used, I know, slick - since it looks great and so smooth that it'll glide through the air at speed. Color looks great in the sunlight. I can't wait to see it finished, so get crackin.

I'm with you Rod, Tuff to be original but definitely worth the time to use the right words to describe it.
|
Dennis it looks great! I like that you put a white sealer down before you put the yellow on. Worrying me a little you didn't shoot the fenders on the car that yellow can be tricky . But it looks like you got it !
|
Thanks,
I worked that decision to paint it apart over many times. I ended up assembling the front end four times and then tearing it all back apart just to get comfortable with the effort to get it together without doing too much damage to the surfaces. I did not have access to a booth so that helped drive that decision. |
The paint looks great Dennis. It looks like Dudley already wants to drive!

Looks like you have done this before, paint really looks great:thumbsup:

Thanks for all the compliments. I never tried to fool myself into thinking it was not going to be a lot of work, but man.... It has been an exercise in patience to say the least... Looking forward to the day of firing it up... :whenitsdone: |

Question: who's brake line standoffs/ mounts (?) are you using on the rear end? I like how simple it is ... Thanks in advance, Michael |

Rear brake lines...
The flex hoses are first run thru stainless rubber lined hose clamps that are are secured to the rear end with a large industrial ty-wrap http://www.cabletiesunlimited.com/ca...x/category/48/ that has an eye on the one end that is secured to the clamp with a stainless steel #8 screw and locknut. The flex hose terminates to the hard line thru the standoff that came with the brake hoses that were purchased thru Tobin @ KORE3. The hardlines terminate at the cross above the rear end attached to an aluminum bracket that I made. I came up with the layout and design so I'll see over time how it works....
Part of the reason for the design was that I had gotten the rear end powder coated and I had forgotten to mock up the brake lines first... :superhack: |
I have no clue how I missed this thread and the fact that I just spent 30 minutes looking at every post when I should be packing.
Very inspirational and I am really looking forward to seeing the finished car. Did I mention I love yellow cars especially when the have a little carbon fiber on them. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07...159ef40a8c.jpg Marty-mj www.garagescene.net www.syborgtwinturbo.com www.2ndcamaro.com |
Some progress on the Nu-Relic electric install and other things...

More updates...
Some late night garage engineering went into this...
http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/...connection.jpg http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/...y/DSCN5327.jpg The fuel lines, combination of startlite hose and stainless steel tubing. http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/...l%20filter.jpg http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/...20plumbing.jpg I ended up coming up with a low pressure check valve in the vent line with a filter on top. More updates on the driveshaft install and modifications for the emergency brakes
I had to make some room for the new driveshaft, the cables and connectors were definitely going to be a problem as I built it before the driveshaft was built. Everything should clear now.
