Thanks Mike. Yeah it has been fun to build something that people either love or hate!

OBeer-WAN-Kenobi 01-07-2014 07:46 AM

I like it!

I'm not sure it's something I'd want, but I think it's different and pretty cool.

SAFASTRO 01-07-2014 07:54 AM

Wow! Incredible craftsmanship, and great eye for a cool looking concept. I think the 2 cars blended very well together. You'll definitley have people scratching their heads!!

Love it!!

aggie91 01-07-2014 11:28 AM

Now the job of making it all look like this!

Ed.Capen 01-16-2014 04:09 PM

:ups:

The LT4 engine just showed up from the Engine Builder so we are ready to get the trans and put this together so when the car is back from paint it can be installed.

http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...psd1e21972.jpg

I will get this un-wrapped and show how the EFI parts all work on it. I am also going to build the front drive system to keep everything low below the valve covers.

Stay Tune....Ed

WSSix 01-16-2014 04:48 PM

Woohoo! I'm excited to see the engine come together.

Trey, I decided to get with FAST as to their latest and greatest injection for this motor. They have a new system that looks even more like a carb and will work for the direction that I am going. Still use the GM manifold, just not useing 8 injectors just the four that come with this kit. I will let you know how it all works.

Ed

aidanfancystang 01-21-2014 06:49 AM

so this has gone to paint already? wow you work quick.

ChuckDriver 01-21-2014 04:03 PM

I thought the 2.0 version was fitted wth 8 injectors?

JJ you are right there is 8 injectors in this kit. I just won't be doing them in the manifold like I did before with my Camaro. The goal is to make this look like something GM could of built back in the late 60's.

Also the metal guy is finishing the other side and then the painter has to prime block and sand and paint it before I get it back to do the Suspension, engine, tranny and interior. it will be a while before this is done.

My goal is SEMA this year, we will see...
Ed

tubbed69 01-21-2014 05:18 PM

Car is looking good Ed,that's a cool project:thumbsup:

WSSix 01-22-2014 07:39 PM

I like the theme you're going for, Ed. Hopefully that FAST system works well. It looks good that's for sure.

aidanfancystang 02-24-2014 12:34 PM

any word on this?

sebtarta 02-25-2014 09:04 AM

Cool build.
Looks very similar to the Chevron sold in Argentina.

Ed.Capen 02-26-2014 07:11 AM

We have some more work to do to get it right where we want in before it gets painted. Still working on the rear of the car to figure out if we are going to do anything to the tail lights. We are also going to tuck the Nova rear bumper in closer to the side of the body but not change the look of it.

Stay tuned,,,Ed

aidanfancystang 02-26-2014 09:19 AM

Thanks for the update. I have to say I really did not like this idea when I first saw it and now I find myself checking in everyday for an update. its looking better than I thought it would.

ChuckDriver 02-26-2014 09:37 AM

Nice work, I like it!

mikespeed95 02-26-2014 12:17 PM

Wow, that is a really cool project!!

Zoomin 02-26-2014 06:09 PM

I agree with keeping the Nova rear pan or the roofline will be the only clue it has Nova DNA. I would ditch the vinyl roof but other than that it's looking great.

glassman 02-26-2014 08:02 PM

Mike,
Marc will be driving the Goodguys 69 Camaro on the tour and I am driving the Goodguys G-10 Pickup that is on a thread build from Scotts Hotrods. The tour is filling up fast as I think everyone talked so much about the last one everyone wants to be part of these cool drives.

The Nomaro will debut at SEMA is the goal, then it will do a road tour in 2015. I have been driving the second gen and enjoying it almost every day.

Look forward to truckin across the country again with you!

I will update this build with some pictures as we get more done.
Ed
:thankyou:

1transam 02-27-2014 11:54 AM

Well, the fab work has taken longer than what I was told so it held up the painter from doing his work. Should have pictures to show all of you later this week. sorry for the delay.
