finished! Well I can enjoy it but there's still stuff to do....
Finally, a post with closure; albeit its never done but I’m definitely out driving on the weekends. First things first there’s a couple big shout outs and lessons learned during the final scramble to “finish” the car.
First; don’t expect your fuel pump to work if you just let sit in an empty tank or 3+yrs. I tracked the car back in ’17 to work out the suspension tweeks. Tore it down for paint and didn’t think much of it but after talking to Carl at Vaporworx it needed work. Big thanks to Carl in getting me squared away and repairing the pump along with tuning the controller, great customer service. Second; big shout out to Jay at Infinity Box….had a glitch in the last software upload and Jay spent a Sunday morning on a phone walking through the issue. Always have had great support from Jay over the last 10yrs, absolutely love the product. Lastly Andrew….appreciate the patience and his willingness to help. During the track time in ’17 I never messed with the fuel table so the tune from the test cell and it was “fat” and tuned for a WOT number rather than drivability. It didn’t take long for him to lean it out and smooth the entire table. He knows his Holley stuff! Was it worth it…yeah in the end its pretty cool to open the garage and take a spin to get coffee and just cruise….. I’ll hit several track events starting in Jan (its racing season for us in AZ). Hope to see a couple you guys out there on the track! More Pics and updates
Thanks everyone for the kind words, couldn't have done it by myself without the help from the Lat-G site......Couple set backs over the holidays with the damn Covid and an oil leak. Regardless we're all healthy again but It appears i'm pulling the engine to address an oil leak at the rear seal plate. its not much of a leak but big enough i can't ignore and i'm not willing to go to the track with it. It's totally my fault when the car was getting paint i wanted to inspect the bearings and i never "re dabbed" with silicone in the corners where the seal plate and oil pan join. Here's some more pics.

Looks like the PRC shroud too? I like that set up, still debating between this an Autorad if I can get one. Seems they are the only two with aluminum core supports, at least in my searches.

Nope, it’s a Ron Davis shroud. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
