Just completed this project… been thinking about this for some time & finally got around to making a set.. pedals that are adjustable from side to side & little adjustment from up & down.. This will should help with heel & toe.. Plus I wanted to increase the pedal ratio.. the Wilwood’s have a 6.25 ratio & now we have increased it to 7.25 ratio.. this should give a bit more leverage.. We will need to play around with M/C bore size to find one that is not very firm but will give us a small amount of travel for modulation..

Spoiler looks killer Cris, not to mention all the other work being done. That thing is going to be one bad machine! Nice work on the pedals also, you're turning out some incredible things.

Car has a new front spoiler in the works.. & it just got a whole new attitude.. IMO.. The signal lights are now gonna be brake ducts..

:thankyou:

We've been experimenting with various aerodynamic improvements on the 70 Challenger. In order to aid our development, we've generated a rough model of the Challenger center profile to study the characteristics of airflow over the body. By creating a virtual wind tunnel with the aid of CFD simulation software, we can evaluate how changes in spoiler angle, height, and profile--for example--affect the overall lift and drag generated throughout the body. While this model only gives us a partial representation of the aerodynamic behavior of the car, it is a great starting point in evaluating how certain changes alter the pressure zones and air velocity over and under the vehicle. As we develop a more comprehensive model of the car, more and more aspects of the car's behavior at speed will be realized.

Awesome work Cris. That car should handle very well.
Can't wait to see the final product and see it tearing up the track.

GrabberGT 07-29-2013 05:21 PM

Is that a fuel or rear diff cooler?

Cris@JCG 07-29-2013 05:30 PM

Thank you Tony..

That is a diff cooler.. We left enough space to run the lines thru the tank & trunk..

Hands down my favorite car ever---that looks sick--and I love the LS in it---that is the best stance ever seen on one of these. Man---I need one.

Finally got the car painted! Now the fun begins.. I am behind schedule on this build... So hoping to make up some time in the assembly.. Here are some shots of the quickie paint job..

You need to make a set of Fake Hemi valve covers for that motor. The would be the icing on the cake.

Don't do it!!!!! Its just bad mojo, it will end with you needing a broom and bucket to sweep up the engine internals. LOL

Cris@JCG 09-01-2013 09:47 AM

Thanks Al! Should have some prototype pcs for your Camaro this week!

Plumbing complete & the C&R third member installed.. We got floating rear rotors for the rear Wilwood brakes but need to machine a few components..

Hey could you provide a list of the parts you have put on the car and the manufacturer? Specifically the suspension and sub frame connectors. Thanks

Cris@JCG 09-11-2013 08:51 PM

All parts are made by JCG.. we grafted a Camaro sub-frame that we designed for our shop builds.. The sub-frame connectors were something we whipped up just for this project but are easy to make..

This is a car we built to test our suspension.. Yesterday it hit the ground!

Today we just picked up our Maxwell Industries shock dyno.. to support our testing of this build.. We will be doing custom valving on the RideTech shocks.. Thanks to Brett for the full support on our in house shock program!
