Thanks for the comments and dont worry, i changed the dipstick...it is now black. Oddly, i think i preferred the "sore thumb" yellow to the flat black...weird!

To me, it is the perfect sound. I used factory side pipes without a cross over on the last Corvette restomod I built and while it looked cool, it was just a bit too much sound and without the cross over, the pulse just didn't seem right.
It's funny how as you get older your taste changes in exhaust. I used to love loud sidepipes, but now (at least for me) an exhaust that is too loud can ruin a car. I always get so irritated with the people at auctions that rev the crap out of their engines...do they not know they are pissing everyone off around them and making their car look bad??? :buttkick: If you are willing to start and rev your car when it is cold, then i have to wonder how well it has been treated. End of random rant. |
Sounds Great, Looks great too! I see the yellow dipstick got blackened. haha. I had to really look close to even see it now. The way it should be. :goggles:

Engine sounds great. The 63 split window never gets old, especially when it has been transformed like this one.
We now need a vid of you running it through the gears. :excited: |
