Looking awesome. I just noticed the painted bumper. I'm curious to see what you do for the grill opening area. Any hints on wheels?

Thanks Neil, I was thinking of a mesh grille like the RideTeck corvette but I think I will stay with the 71 grille's. I saw your CCW's for your car and they look great just a few more dollars than I want to spend. Going into this project I have stuck with Team Three wheels (LT's), 18 x 10 and 18 x 12's with 275 front and 335 in the rear. Here is a pic of the wheels

vstol 12-30-2015 03:11 AM

However I am open to some suggestions for the front grille opening.

I would like to thanks again Stahl Headers (Greg Stump [email protected]) Jim at Classic Air and auto for the FIA set up (http://www.classicaircraftautoinc.com/) Blue Print Engines and Jeff Leech at Mid America Industries (309 787 5119). Its been a long haul but the beast will be on the road soon.

The Team III's were on my short list as well. Great looking wheel. I have Minilite's on my Camaro too.

vstol 12-30-2015 07:33 AM

Any good ideas other than the stock grilles

I am probably going to make a custom aluminum surround with a mesh insert.

That is my other option and have it all blacked out which I will do if I use the stock grille's

vstol 12-31-2015 05:53 AM

Pictures of "other than stock" grilles on a 68-72 are welcome

vstol 04-03-2016 04:29 PM

Congrats! The dash came out looking great, too.

Thanks I actually had it buttoned up only to find out the ECU from Vintage Air was bad as well as the sending unit on my Fuel Safe Fuel cell. Vintage air was great in trouble shooting it with me and when it was identified it was the ECU I got a new one in two days!!!! On the other hand after we trouble shot the system (their support was very good as well) I shared fuel safe my build site to show them there has only been fuel in the system for 2 weeks and they said the warranty ran out tuff. They did take a few bucs off when I purchased anther one, lesson learned.

vstol 05-14-2017 02:24 PM

Ok I am out of hibernation from building a large addition to our home so all I have to do is the interior, front grills and working brakes. This is the first time the car has moved under its own power and with these wheels and tires.

vstol 05-14-2017 02:36 PM

sorry having trouble posting my pictures

Few more pics, just got appraised and waiting on the insurance.

Well pics are not loading will try later

vstol 10-08-2017 12:53 PM

45 miles on it and it is wicked quick. No issues and I am switching to a power brake setup, the Wilwood I have just is not doing it. I will go with 15/16ths power boosted.

WSSix 10-08-2017 03:16 PM

Great to hear that. I'm glad you've be able to put a few miles on the car.

vstol 10-19-2017 01:34 PM

I am going with Hydratech set up, the vacuum booster does not fit.

Haulin-A 10-20-2017 10:26 AM

Car looks badass, really digging that wheel setup

vstol 10-31-2017 04:10 PM

This site is a PITA for loading pictures they say they are too large.

Hydratech® 11-03-2017 05:44 PM

:)~

Take smaller pictures!

Resizing images *IS* a PITA...

egoman 11-03-2017 08:42 PM

Post your pics to facebook and they are automatically resized.

There is a free application i have used called irfanview that will resize the images to any size you like. It will even do batch resize and renames if you so desire. Did I mention it's FREE? :D

vstol 11-04-2017 04:44 PM

Thanks I am putting in my Hydratech power brake system tomorrow

vstol 02-03-2018 05:03 PM

I will test the waters in the coming week putting the car up for sale. As mentioned with the Ride Tech 48hr Corvette selling last month for $127,800 it might be a good time to test the market. Cheers

Zspoiler 02-04-2018 07:23 AM

What very nice work.I`ll be interested to see the finished product.
