I love the wheels, perfect for a 66.

Zoomin 04-13-2019 02:40 PM

I agree, perfect choice on the wheels.

Those are some massive brakes!

I have assembled one doorpanel also with the new speaker setup. I like the look, just gonna make a mesh cover over the speakers so they are hidden and a little more protected.

Over the easter holiday I plan to finish all the wiring in the car and putting in the interior again. Fit the new IDIDIT tilt column I got yesterday and also plumb the brakes and bleed them. Gonna install a hurst linelock also.

rixtrix1 04-16-2019 05:27 PM

Those Weld Wheels will look great on your Chevelle, or mine for that matter, and they're priced fairly reasonably for a forged wheel.

Long time no see 😁

http://forumbilder.se/I5LFP/05da30fa...fa0465ec0.jpeg

Tires installed, waiting for thin spacers for caliper clearance.

http://forumbilder.se/I5LFP/db33b928...cd5b3ce87.jpeg

IDIDIT tilt column installed and wired and new steering wheel in place.
Most of the EFI is wired, just a few inputs left. Driveshaft speed and some other things.
I replaced the intank pump in Aeromotive tank for a Deatschwerks 400 pump.

Waiting for driveshaft and some other minor parts, but I will continue work on the wiring for the car.

I really can't understand the current craze about black, face fronted wheels. The deep, shiny Welds on the back look fantastic, especially with that color paint.

The front wheels are just some crappy BMW rollers, Im still waiting for my correct spacers for my welds in the front also.

Hoping to get them machined soon enough 👍🏻

Timberline 06-20-2019 07:54 AM

Love this build !
I can’t imagine how difficult it is to build overseas waiting for parts and having to find you need that one small fitting and wait again before you can finish something.

warhawkchevelle 07-02-2019 11:30 AM

http://forumbilder.se/I5V8C/4624de75...92a7b3940.jpeg

Some shorter and one step softer frontsprings arrive today.
Plus two custom made spacers for caliperclearance in the front.

And the new 4” PST aluminum driveshaft also :)

Hopefully I can mount the front wheels and coils in a couple of days and then roll it out for some motivation.

Supercharger plans are dead, going turbo instead. Easier installation, Im having manifolds and exhaust custombuilt after the summer anyways.

Gonna order a Precision LS 8284 in a few weeks instead.

Thank you very much! It was well needed to see it out on wheels :thankyou:

Plan when I first Tore it down was to have it finished when I turned 30, I am 32 now :whenitsdone:

waynieZ 07-04-2019 08:25 AM

They always have their own schedule.👍

Havent done anything to this for, no motivation and stressed at work but it has settled down some and motivation have come back.

Engine and trans are going back in next weekend, had to order a new pilot bearing. AN 10 oilreturn is welded into the pan now also.

Engine in place, new Bosch 1300cc injectors also. This is planned turbo location :gitrdun:

Che70velle 10-19-2019 01:39 PM

That is a BIG turbo. Glad to see you making progress.

Power on today, fortunately No smoke anywhere :D

https://rejsa.nu/im/user/8648/2019-1...09659ad05.jpeg

Triggerwheel and sensor installed and wired for traction control wired to the Fueltech 500 efi.

Brakes and clutch are together and bled.
I have more wiring to do before its time for interior.
Gotta install buttons in the steering wheels for rollcontrol and launchcontrol.

Plan is to have manifolds, chargepipes/intercooler and exhaust built by a company in late January or early February.

warhawkchevelle 12-28-2019 10:31 AM

Engine primed with an Accusump today, worked perfect so I turned the key for the first time and had good pressare right away!

WSSix 12-30-2019 04:30 PM

congrats! You'll be ready by spring time for sure at this rate.

waynieZ 01-02-2020 08:54 PM

Nice progress, I like the traction control.

warhawkchevelle 01-03-2020 11:16 AM

Thanks guys!
Trying to get something small done often.

A buddy spent a couple of hours here today designing some small stuff that I need to get milled.

A block off plate for mapsensor with a connection for my LS7 manifold, so I can use the one built in to the Fueltech.

https://rejsa.nu/im/user/8648/2020-0...e0be6fb69.jpeg

Had to take a break from all wiring and have started with some panels in the trunk.

Lack of'progress is almost embarassing here :confused59:

However, I made a new layout for the engine management wiring inside glove compartment.
Made a new one in plastic and have ordered a bunch of Deutsch connectors to wire it up completely before install.

waynieZ 03-29-2020 11:33 AM

Nice neat job! It looks great.

https://rejsa.nu/im/user/8648/2020-0...95d6430f6.jpeg

Made a mount for the dash/ecu.
Turned out pretty good I think, it has to be rubbermounted though so the G-meter functions properly :D

warhawkchevelle 04-04-2020 11:26 AM

https://rejsa.nu/im/user/8648/2020-0...c064e7409.jpeg

Ecu is installed and connectors plugged in, got some connectors left inside the car before I can connect the batteries.

https://rejsa.nu/im/user/8648/2020-0...516981bd2.jpeg

This is wired and ready for install. Power and ground cables are in the car and ready to connect.

WSSix 04-04-2020 05:28 PM

Very clean! Nicely done.

Glad I put hinges on it, would never have gotten it in place otherwise :D

waynieZ 04-08-2020 08:59 PM

That looks nice, great job.

Hello!

Well, Whats new?
Sold my TKO and bought a new T56 Magnum, otherwise not so much.
Lack of inspiration :shakehead:

But tonight I started doing the new tunnel, gonna do the other side tomorrow and the sides will be tighter together before the cap is made.
Parts of the cap is gonna be dzuzed for easy access.

The Shifter is gonna have to be moved 2” to the driver so I still can use the stock console.

This was the most recent Ive got I think.
Unfortunately there is some weird filter on it, the car is Marina Blue.

WSSix 10-27-2020 05:51 PM

Still looks great though.

Why the transmission change?

Thanks

Well, when I first started building the car my plan was just an ~500hp LS of some kind.
Then I bought the Warhawk LS7 block and things started snowballing from there.

Ive been a part of both a turbo Pro mod team and a screwblown Top doorslammer team for a few years and plans for more power was there.

The TKO simply wouldnt hold up, this turbo will max out at around 1300hp so a buddy bought the TKO and I ordered a T56 Magnum instead :)

Same thing here. I said multiple times 500hp is plenty for me on the street. Yeah, right!! I just got my magnum trans this past winter and really didn’t have time this summer to get it broke in. Been a busy year for me.

I love this. This is how the frame for my 66 sits right now.
