Mark,
A couple of quick questions about that intake setup... What throttle body is that? Is the air cleaner base bolted between the throttle body and intake for mounting? And finally, does it clear the fuel rails without a spacer? I used that same intake manifold and fuel rails, and I struggled with making a Trans Am shaker base fit. Wish I had thought of this idea. Very slick! I do prefer a cable connection between the throttle pedal and TB though - not a big fan of the DBW setups in the cars I have driven. Presumably with a good tuner it shouldn't be an issue though. |
Correct me if I’m wrong Mark, DBW for cruise control?

The 90 mm throttle body is off a LS3/7. The DBW set up allows cruise control, tunable throttle progression, no linkage and no idle air control motor. With some tuning it feels good, or I’m used to it. I also hate the feel of cables and solid mechanical linkage is problematic. The new LT torque base engine cals do have poor throttle response. It can be calibrated to be better but not as good as the PFI cals. Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wow this car has some beautiful patina
|
I am very interested in the transmission crossmember. You can see the tabs poking through the floor, and the mount itself... Can you shed light on what the topside looks like? I would love to get ideas for my own car.
Beautiful build as always !!! Jason |

We have done this trans mount before on 4 Camaros. No issues so far. Makes a super clean set up.

Do you make mounts or brackets to mount your Recaro seats? Also, are you using 6pt bits? Where have you found it best for the mounting points? |
Quote:
We make the adapter from the stock seat pan to the Recaro seat tracks. I’ll try to find a photo. For the sub belt we modify the seat pan to allow for it to be bolted in. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d0508975fa.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...87be5f50dd.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...bfdb58a31c.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Thank you for the reply. I am absolutely going to be using that method. Super clean, simple, and it works !!!
On a side note, whoever is doing the welding on the car, is an artist !!! Jason |

Shortened the tank? How much will it hold now?
|

We will add an extra tank to get the capacity back up to 10 quarts. Yes we had to shorten to fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Mark, how level is the car when the sub frame connectors are installed on jackstands??
I have mine within an 1/8 of an inch, was wondering how the guys set that up, |
Mark,
Why the change in tank locations this time? |

Attempting to keep it simpler. Doing the dry sump tank in the cowl is very cool, but it is a ton of fabrication. Matt and Tom did it like this on Tom’s orange 69. It looked cool and I had a stock 2008 Z06 dry sump tank laying around from an old project, so we did it that way. This is a cruiser build and not a track monster so not worried about weight distribution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Very cool!
Can you please show us how the tank is supported up front in the wheel well? Also, where would you place the other tank in order to bring it back up to 10 quarts capacity? Thanks! |

Another great looking build Mark. I was looking up some of your other Camaro builds last night and found this.

Hub Caps!

Caps for sure.
|
Caps for sure. They look ripe for a Matt custom cap modification. The old Corvette flat rally caps would also look nice IMHO.

Hub caps for the win!

Definitely with. Although I’m biased I’ve been a long time fan of the caps.

But for this particular car, no caps really adds to the nasty/mystery/raw look of ‘what’s this thing got under the skin’ with it being a patina car. If it was a full paint car, then I’d prefer caps. |
