just plain awesome ... going to be so killer in black. Well done!

I appreciate everyone's positive reinforcement. I now go over and work on it everynight after work and weekends until it's finished. Fingers are getting alittle raw but getting alot accomplished these past two weeks. Not a very good photographer but you get the idea. The upper two pictures are taken through the booths dirty glass windows. Everything gets two base coats then wet sanded, then another two base coats and then five coats of clear. Next, a lot of wet sanding and buffing.
Todd I really appreciated you taking the time today to answer my questions. It was a huge help.

It's coming along nicely Lenie!!! Engine looks great too! What are your plans for an air cleaner???

68bird 05-16-2009 03:17 PM

That is a beautiful car!!! I just found this thread and i must say, it is like you built what was in my head. The stance, the tires, the rims, all of it. Hope you don't mind if i use your car as a blueprint. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I couldn't help but notice the time line on the thread. this car has taken a while and that gives me hope. Starting to think i would never see the finish line, then POW- there's a picture of what i want.

Thanks Corey, Chris and Ty.
Chris, really enjoyed seeing your car at Sema and the Mild to Wild show in Tacoma, very nice ride with great colors. I'll never get rid of the van, to many good memories. It's my next project.
Ty, I don't really know what kind of cleaner I'm going with yet, but I'm going to design something a little different.

Lenie 05-18-2009 11:27 PM

Dude did you say you live in Seattle? I'm near Spokane, can I drive over and check it out? I'll either bring my 67 or the 69 I'm looking at if I do buy it.

I think I asked over on PT.com but did you say you got that serp set up from Frank at prodigy? I can't find it anywhere.

Lenie 08-24-2009 08:39 PM

Traven, I live about one hour SW of Seattle. It's a town named Port Orchard. If your ever going to be in the area, just send me an email and I'll get you directions. Your always welcome to stop by.
Lenie

T_Raven 08-25-2009 01:00 AM

Well heck yeah man, It's nothin but a 6 hour drive so I'll try to swing on over while I'm on leave in a couple weeks. So uh.....get that sucker done, I want to go for a ride lol.

Lenie 08-25-2009 07:36 PM
