Just kidding. Hell, I don't know either.:lmao:

Hahahaha! I was waiting for someone to notice that!

so the "nose temp" gauge is so that I can monitor the air temperature inside the Plexi-glass nose of the car. plexi-glass and high heat aren't friends and therefor I will be closely monitoring the interactions between the two so I can make sure I don't quickly ruin the plexi-glass. I will be building a system of nose flaps and fans into the hood sides that will open to allow air to quickly circulate and drop the temp in the nose to keep the plexi-glass comfortable.

so there you have it.

Work of art. Some people can stare at a painting in a museum for hours, I would like to see this in person so I can stare at this for hours.

Ha! Awesome. I’ll be honest I was secretly hoping for thermocouples stuck in an olfactory organ somewhere...

Is it not worth just venting the compartment permanently? I can’t imagine fan and complexity real estate is real plentiful in there.
Looks amazing, as always! Thanks for sharing.

you are right on limited real estate. however, I don't want any gaping holes that are permanently open as I think it would take away from the look on the nose. I also don't want to do it the easy way :welder: haha

I'm interested to see how you bend the plexi around your jig/buck because being a compound to a flat, it's gonna be a bitch I think. I have all confidence you'll pull it off, would love to see a video if you make one. Oh, and thanks for the invite, but I'm about as far away as you can get!

The process is called vacuum forming. So, I will build it out of metal first. A fiberglass mold will be made off of the metal panels, Then a vacuum box is made to hold the mold. Then the glass is sucked down into the mold using vacuum and hot air to make it maluable. Here is another piece I had made in the same way.
