Just took mine for a cruise around the block about 2 hours ago. First drive in 16 months. A few more tweaks and she'll be ready. How's that for a friggin' candidate?

I've built two or three complete cars since these builds started....

Tom.A 05-14-2013 09:31 PM

Great choice Ron! If I had your money my car would be there also for paint.
I don't know Dick other than talking with him a few times at events but with all the board (Steves, Matts, Greggs, Patch and others)cars that have came out of there it is money well spent. You will be driving in no time. Congrats

waynieZ 05-14-2013 09:42 PM

Great news Ron. I've been to California twice and both time I made it over to BOS too bad this time I'll have to live vicariously through your pictures . So take some good one!!! :woot: :woot:

Mini update...

Underhood wiring pretty much complete. Rear wiring 70% there, dash is still in the works. Down bars painted and installed, and the coolers are mounted.

Still have oiling, hydraulic and PS to finish off.

Pics tamale :D

Thanks Jeff. I really wouldn't have done it if I couldn't reinforce them underneath/behind the firewall. I haven't tested the tortional ridigity but hope it helps.

Track Junky 06-06-2013 06:41 PM

You know I'm just ribbin' ya Ron. Lots of thought and quality work has gone into that car and she'll be sweet looking when she's done. I can already picture you cruising the windy coastal roads in the summer with the tunes and AC blazing. Hold that thought as you move forward and the wait wont seem so bad.

Ron in SoCal 06-06-2013 06:58 PM

Course Bro. You know you and I are in tune...except no AC and tunes blasting on the way to the track for a couple years before she retires as a cruiser.

Someone actually posted a progress shot

and the thread is trending like Kim K baby news on twitter. 4 pages...Wow!

Seriously, Congrats on your project finally moving forward. We needed some one to break to ice and show a car can actually be built.
