Beautiful car Matt! If I'm not mistaken, we spoke at the Driverz Inc. show yesterday. The car looks really great, the guys at Best of Show are awesome.

Yes, that was me. Glad you like the car. It was Good talking to you at the show. Like I said before, you should bring your Mustang out to El Toro. It has all the right go-fast parts, for a show car, I'm sure it could turn in some respectable times.

Matt, you running manual brakes or hydroboost? I also see you're not running hood pins. Any concerns on the latch holding? Thanks again, killer car!

Ron, we're just running manual brakes. As for the hoodpins, I have a set, but we haven't installed them yet. I'm not too worried about it for the time being, but think it is probably a good idea. Also, it may sound stupid, but I haven't found a set I really like. I don't want anything eye catching, and the car is so clean and simple, almost any type of hood pin would be a major focal point.

Matt --

I saw a real nice way to secure your hood the other day --- it was a big ol' nasty rusty chain with a padlock on it... It was on a POS pickup truck and for the life of me - I couldn't figure out what he was trying to "protect".

plenty of choices

Marty, I bought a set of six shooter hood pins from hoodpins.net back in October. If I do put pins on I will probably have them anodized or powder coated black. I could also get the smooth locking ones in black, or maybe even the quick latch, low profile ones. There are more choices than I remember, are the quick latch ones new(ish)?

Yep - they are a new Design.

Ron has many choices now and even different finishes. I actually have a set of his hoods pins that I am sending off to get brass coated and then the plan is to Patina them for the next project. Ron really has it going on with these hood pins.

ps I love the 6 shooter design and I'm not just saying that since because Jason Rushforth is subcribed to this thread either.
