Man what a day. Got moved into our new house, and that's significant for 2 main reason here.... (1) I am closer to getting back to planning and upgrading the Camaro... :unibrow: ... and (2) Even though this has always been part of many of ya'all's lives, I now have a garage of my own to bring said Camaro when it's back on the road. It's nothing special... but it's mine!

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...8/DSCF4126.jpg

The 2nd cool thing that happened today was I got a call from Johnny Hunkins of PHR and was invited to go to Columbus and be in the Muscle Car of the Year competition after the Goodguys event. He called because a couple heavy hitter Camaros have backed out recently. I was obviously appreciative but had to decline for many reasons, not the least of which is my car current has no chassis or suspension.... of course when I called to tell Rich this he said let's borrow a motor and get this sucker back together and go! Man I love ya brother... :woot:

Ok I'm beat... but it's been a great day. :lateral:

Matt@BOS 06-27-2012 12:50 AM

You should go to Columbus. Rich can just pick up an engine on the way and swap it in the parking lot, right?

Congrats on both deals Dave

Nessumsar 06-27-2012 09:41 AM

Congrats Dave!! :woot:

I feel you on the garage part, not having one at my apartment means I get to work in the street. :faint:

Now go have some fun picking out the furnishings!

Sieg 06-27-2012 09:44 AM

Congrats Dave

Sadly you're going to learn first-hand how small garages are. :willy:

Consider micro-managing inches on vertical and horizontal planes now. :D

badmatt 06-27-2012 11:35 AM

Congrats Dave! Garage looks like a far cry from "small"

Nice land cruiser too.

Wait, I thought he did that years ago...sorry bud. Let me know if you need help next year.

scottysimp7 06-27-2012 06:55 PM

DG1 Congrats buddy! Pocket book is a little lighter, but I'm sure if feels good the house search is over. BACK TO THE CAMARO!! BOOM!

DFRESH 06-27-2012 08:54 PM

Like I said on the phone--give us some more pics of the house! At least text me some. The family wants to see what you guys ended up with. Give me a shot of the driveway at least!

D

Track Junky 06-27-2012 09:40 PM

Stopped by Dave's new house today. Previous owner spared no expense on keeping this house meticulously maintained. Yes, its has a dated style due to it being an older home, but the layout is great and has awesome potential.

The downstairs room is awesome. Fireplace, plenty of room for a legal size pool table, couches, and big screen. I told Dave I would enlarge the area where the existing counter and sink are and turn it into the killer bar area.

Great score and congrats Dave!!

waynieZ 06-27-2012 10:16 PM

Congrats on the new house hope you have many happy healthy years in it. What do you mean the garage is nothing special----- Its yours that makes it special for you.

intocarss 06-28-2012 12:06 AM

I got no photoshop skills. But you get the idea ;)

Flash68 06-28-2012 01:11 AM

Haha man that is great stuff. Thanks guys. Life is pretty exciting right now.. and surprisingly it doesn't even involve the Camaro that much right now. But that will change very soon...

Jer -- that is an awesome photoshop. I love the 7/8 scale Smokey Yunick cheater version of my car. :D

The long driveway is actually one of my favorite parts.

My car lives in Gilroy most of the time at my buddy Rich's shop, but I'm now in Orinda.

Thanks Vince. Would love to get you involved at some point... esp seeing how fast you've made the bucket of bolts that Gaetano drives. :D :lateral:
