Update 3/14
Nothing too exciting ... my tool for the window nut came in today ... so I figured I'd get the quarter windows polished  Why wait?
http://imageshack.us/a/img526/2346/1303141863.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img138/6055/1303141860.jpg Came out really nice ... wrapped them up and put them away. Thanks for looking ... should be welding this weekend, AND it's Spring Break -NO SCHOOL next week  just homework! |
Finally a side cowl
welded in, now that's a good Camaro day:thumbsup:.
Got the passenger side cowl welded in ... little heat, some hammer/ dolly work, and some more heat and she's all good. I'm gonna wait on the outer shell til I can get some undercoat or Lizard Skin on the inside. http://imageshack.us/a/img28/9853/1303161866.jpg Welded and hammered in  http://imageshack.us/a/img203/2594/1303161864.jpg So that's what it will look like ... almost forgot :relax: The driver's side will take more work cuz the stamping is off and I have to fill where I sliced to make it fit correctly .... but I will get on it tomorrow fer sure. If the temp is good tomorrow I may spray some epoxy ... we'll see! Thanks for looking .... |
  Respect!

Lookin great. I hope the garage is stayin warm.

Well Done Chief! Good Camaro Day for sure!!
You know, I am pretty blessed with how clean my Camaros body is. At least as far as I know anyway... knock on wood. For me there is always a level of uncertainty. But I tell you what, you know exactly what you have and how meticulous and solid the work on yours is. Be very proud of your work. You set a great example. Robert |
Thanks!

I am just doing it the correct way ... hope someone else learns from this thread. |
Mind? Heck no! I smiled when I read it.:D
I'm sure I'm not the only one learning from your thread either. |
Looks good Chief!
You all need to pass some of that 'Good Camaro Day' karma my way. I purchased trunk lid #5 and it showed up yesterday. Guess what? Didn't fit worth a darn. I haven't even braved trying to get back to work on my front cap. I'm probably going to go talk to a local resto shop and see about getting them to deal with it. I've just lost my patience for it. I'm ready to start block sanding and spraying some color damnit!! |
Good day!

I finished welding the driver's cowl .... what a PITA, made two patches where I had to slice the corners and wrestled it back in place. Weld, hammer/ dolly and more heat and she fits. http://imageshack.us/a/img534/7797/1303171871.jpg Good Camaro Day fer sure  http://imageshack.us/a/img339/928/1303171872.jpg Finish with some epoxy primer and some undercoat! I'll finish dressing the welds another time .... I'm beat! Thanks for looking.... time to :relax: |
