So you start with something that looks like this..... Attachment 66443 You keep working weekends and nights until you have something like this.... Attachment 66444 You Add...... Attachment 66445 And ADD some more........ Attachment 66446 And in an EXTREMELY SHORT period of time BAM!(for this build only I'm quite sure!) Attachment 66447 It will be wrapped like this Attachment 66448 |

Greg's 70 Mustang Track Warrior is all apart right now.
While builder Randy Chastain is on vacation in the Redwoods, the body is being sanded on & insides sealed black. It will be back Monday, as will Randy. The chassis & interior sheet metal just got back from powder coat. It is a light gray metallic. From a distance, the chassis looks primer. But up close you can see the gloss & a small amount of metallic. Headers & exhaust went to Jet-Hot High Performance Coatings in North Carolina. Everything will be coated inside & out with their 2000° Thermal Barrier ceramic coating. Assembly starts Tuesday, July 24th. Setup day is Tuesday, July 31st. If all goes well, it will get wrapped on Wednesday & go to the track Thursday. We're looking forward to running the car in its maiden event (NASA Race) at Thunderhill on Aug 4-5. :trophy-1302: |

When Sutton and I (and several others) were at PRI show -- we'd walk the aisles and look at products - and we'd see whole cars or chassis.... and I'd say "will it be like this" and Ron would say....
